5 Reasons Why You Should Watch #JaDine’s On the Wings of Love
1 It's James Reid and Nadine Lustre's first major TV project.
Can you believe their movie Diary ng Panget came out only last year? Since then, this OTP has made you swoon even more with movies like Talk Back and You’re Dead and Para sa Hopeless Romantic. It only makes sense that their next step is to take over primetime TV with this teleserye about two strangers forced to play house. "It's a game changer," Nadine says, because it's rare for a light drama/feel-good teleserye to land a primetime slot.
2 It reminds us of Koreanovelas like Full House.
Nadine plays Leah, a Filipina who wants to make it in America, while James plays Clark, an American citizen who wants to support his siblings in the Philippines. She needs a visa, and he needs to send money back home, so they enter an agreement and get married. Seems like very serious business but the overall tone is pretty light and fun. Sorta like Full House, yes?
3 It's full of feels.
It may be a light drama, but you can bet there will be a ton of feels since one of the directors is Antoinette Jadaone of That Thing Called Tadhana (writer and director), English Only, Please (writer), and Relaks, It’s Just Pag-Ibig (writer and director).
4 It'll make you "sleep with a smile."
This is how Antoinette Jadaone describes the show, and based on the trailer alone, we totally believe her.
5 It's your great escape to San Francisco.
James and Nadine couldn't stop gushing about how beautiful and incredible their shoot location was. Spending almost every day together also made them get to know each other on a deeper level. Nadine likes how James becomes silly and piles on the corny pickup lines when it's late, while James likes how "maalaga"Nadine is. Adorbs!
On the Wings of Love premieres August 10 on ABS-CBN.
