We're already enjoying the films Pixar releases, but before any movie, they let the viewers enjoy their animated shorts that actually deserve a movie of their own—or a compilation, at least. Here are some of those adorable animated shorts that draw their audience emotionally and will definitely make your day!
- Piper
Remember that cute animation before the movie Finding Dory? Piper is a moving short film where an adorable little sandpiper (that's a bird, ICYDK) is forced to overcome her fear of the ocean in order to fetch her own food. This animation is overflowing with cuteness, laughs, and has that emotional pull you need.
- Lava
This is the animation short before the movie Inside Out. All you hopeless romantics out there can relate to this volcano with his sweet melody, singing his song of hope, "I have a dream I hope will come true that you're here with me and I'm here with you. I wish that the earth, sea, the sky up above will send me someone to lavaaaa."
- The Blue Umbrella
Pixar really has a big imagination, animating just about anything! From lamps, to volcanoes, and now umbrellas. This animated short comes before the movie Monsters University, but unlike anything they've released before, this animation has a more urban feel to it because it gives a face to an everyday object and a love story out of an everyday situation. Join this blue umbrella's journey as he pushes the boundaries of fate for his quest of finding love and companionship.
- La Luna
This animation was paired with Brave. It shows the coming of age of a young boy joined by what we could assume are his father and grandfather. He goes to the moon that's actually filled with a number of stars. At first you'd be confused on what their agenda is, but you will eventually find that the story turns a sweeter direction paired with a bunch of falling stars.Â
- Day & Night
Paired with Toy Story 3, this is an animation that embodies and personifies day and night. They first have a friendly competition to who's greater, but then they learned to embrace their differences, leaving this important quote: "The most beautiful things in all the universe are the most mysterious."
