Friends are just as important as your family. I mean, can you imagine your life right now without your best friends? Who will you go to for advice? Who will be your food trip buddy? Who will you fangirl with? Life is simply more meaningful when you share a special bond with someone who will be there for you for all time. No wonder why TV shows are never without a group of friends or solid BFFs as part of the story. It just goes to show that friendships are celebrated even if it's just on screen. Witnessing stories of friendship are often the best ones to follow so we've rounded up a list of onscreen friendships that are undoubtedly phenomenal.

  1. Blair And Serena of Gossip Girl

Blair Waldorf and Serena Van Der Woodsen of Gossip Girl go beyond BFF status. These girls take the Upper East Side by storm with their wit and charm going hand in hand. They may have the most brute catfights more often than not, but they have proven that they still have each other's back no matter what. Remember when they flew to Paris together just to mend each other's broken heart? For sure, we all wanted to do that with our BFF at some point. The show may have ended, but B and S remain to be Manhattan's iconic onscreen pair.

  1. Spencer, Hannah, Aria, and Emily of Pretty Little Liars

It's definitely no lie that these girls went through thick and thin while going about their thrilling encounters with the elusive stalker A. Despite the amount of dark secrets and dangerous liaisons, their friendship was put to the test. But in the end, they've proven they can fight back. They've all been into some sort of deathly trouble, but for Spencer, Hannah, Aria, and Emily, that's simply not enough to put them down. With that, we give the PLL crew the golden medal of true friendship!

  1. Jess and Cece of New Girl

We all have that one friend who simply gets us, loves our quirks, and tolerates our silliness. For Jess and Cece, that's what real friendship is all about. Even though Jess and Cece have opposite interests, they remain the best of friends. Their differences are what make this duo unbeatable! With Jess's optimistic approach in life and Cece's blunt personality, they balance each other out which makes their friendship so lovable and extra adorable (and their adventures even funnier!)

  1. Miley and Lilly of Hannah Montana

Sure enough, Disney had a lot of shows who had best friends in it but nothing to compares to Miley Stewart and Lilly Truscott of the hit TV series Hannah Montana. If you religiously followed this show before, I'm certain Miley and Lilly had a special place in your heart. They made us laugh, cry and fall in love all throughout the show. Their friendship was so solid, that not even a movie offer in Paris can get them to live apart—if you watched the last episode of the series, you know what I'm talking about. This friendship is definitely one for the books!

  1. Mike, Will, Dustin, Lucas and Eleven of Stranger Things

Friends that slay monsters together stay together. From the get-go, we've already seen how unshakable their bond is, seeing as how they went through extreme lengths just to find Will after his mysterious disappearance and how they've kept a strong faith that he's still alive. With Eleven tagging along, their quest to save Will shows us how true friendship knows no bounds. No amount of Demogorgons and school bullies can sever this friendship.
