Don't you just love friendships? We know we do!
Friends make life easier for us. They stand by us through good times and bad times. They can be brutally honest with us and help us grow in the process. And when they don't know the right things to say? They stay by our side, anyway.
This is the same with celebrities, too. Although they appear strong and so put together in front of the cameras, they are in need of a strong support system, too—like friends. This week, we're putting our focus on these Korean celebrities' friendships that inspire all of us to pursue friendships that will last a lifetime. Take a look at five of the K-celeb friendships we adore below now.
- Lee Jong Suk and Kim Woo Bin
These two! Jong Suk and Woo Bin have known each other for years, and they got closer when they both worked on School 2013. How close are they? Well, during Jong Suk's fan meeting in Seoul in 2014, Woo Bin made a surprise appearance and his friend was deeply moved by his gesture that he cried. Omo! ♥
- Song Joong Ki and Lee Kwang Soo
These two have supported each other so much ever since they first met and became friends while working on Running Man. Not only do they have good words to say about each other, they also show each other some lovin' by making cameo appearances on their projects.
Remember when Kwang Soo appeared on Descendants of the Sun and Joong Ki on The Sound of Your Heart? Plus, who'd ever forget that time when Joong Ki appeared in Kwang Soo's brother's wedding because his friend couldn't make it? Aww!
- IU and Suzy
The Dream High co-stars are so close that they're almost inseparable. If not for their busy schedules, we'll surely be seeing them together 24/7. In an interview on MBC, IU likened her friendship with Suzy to magnets "because we stick together and drag each other around." Huhu, so cute!
- Jun Ji Hyun and Lee Young Ae
After meeting for the first time at a shoot for a commercial, Ji Hyun and Young Ae have become really close. Their friendship has gotten so deep that Young Ae revealed she's the only actress she invited for her children's first birthday parties.
Ji Hyun, on the other hand, revealed in an interview that she finds comfort just by talking to her friend. "She is quite different from many people. She gives a lot of advice on life. I ask her for help when I need it and it helps me just by talking to her," she said.
- Yoon Eun Hye and Son Ye Jin
These two low-key actresses have been friends for as long as we can remember. Together with Song Yoon Ah, these two play a lot together and have fun on holidays when they're not so busy anymore. And in an interview, Ye Jin even mentioned that she misses the Coffee Prince actress a lot already, saying, "I'm so sad Yoon Eun Hye and I haven't played for so long."
