Did you know that Oxford American Dictionaries' Word of The Year for 2012 is "GIF"? Yup, you read that right. Even if the graphic format (GIF stands for "graphic interchange format) has been around for years, it's only getting its rightful recognition now. This is largely due to the popularity of Internet memes.
