1. Taylor Swift Pulls Out All Her Albums From Spotify

T-Swizzle shocked everyone earlier today when she pulled out all of her albums (yup, from Taylor Swift to Red!) from the music streaming site. The reason? Spotify was reportedly pressuring her to put 1989 on the site and Tay wouldn't give in.

This shouldn't come as a big surprise for her followers, though. BuzzFeed quoted the artist via her op-ed for The Wall Street Journal, where the "Shake It Off" singer expressed that she isn't that into streaming services. "Music is art, and art is important and rare. Important, rare things are valuable. Valuable things should be paid for," she said.

Time also quoted her from the same article wherein she said that other musicians also have make a decision someday on the value of the music they make. "It's my opinion that music should not be free, and my prediction is that individual artists and their labels will someday decide what an album's price point is," she wrote in the article. "I hope they don’t underestimate themselves or undervalue their art."

Looks like other artists have this same view. In case you haven't noticed, Beyonce's surprise album and the Coldplay's latest record, Ghost Stories, aren't on the site still.

2. Spotify Wants Taylor Swift Back

In response to Taylor's move, Spotify is now asking the artist to get back together with them. In a statement (that's a little heartbreaking, TBH), the music streaming site expressed their sadness over the artist's move.

We love Taylor Swift, and our more than 40 million users love her even more – nearly 16 million of them have played her songs in the last 30 days, and she’s on over 19 million playlists.

We hope she’ll change her mind and join us in building a new music economy that works for everyone. We believe fans should be able to listen to music wherever and whenever they want, and that artists have an absolute right to be paid for their work and protected from piracy. That’s why we pay nearly 70% of our revenue back to the music community.

PS – Taylor, we were both young when we first saw you, but now there’s more than 40 million of us who want you to stay, stay, stay. It’s a love story, baby, just say, Yes.

And they're not making this statement a subtle one. Spotify even made the Playlist Poetry for Taylor and a What To Play While Taylor's Away playlist. Can you read the message the first playlist spells out below?

3. Taylor Swift Announces World Tour

On a happier note, T-Swizzle announced The 1989 World Tour last night! The tour will kick off in Louisiana on May 20, 2015. She'll then be hitting North America, Europe, and Australia (in December 2015). Here's hoping there's some extension of sorts and she'll have an Asian leg of the tour, so she can stop by the Philippines and make us shake things off, too. You can view her tour schedule here in case you're going to be on vacay next year in one of her stops.
