18 Thoughts While Watching Clueless Again

Staying in during the weekend for me means scouring my hard drive for something to watch. I recently stumbled upon a copy of the ‘90s classic Clueless, and since last month was its 19^th anniversary, I thought it was the perfect time for a trip back to Cher’s world. It’s just as fresh as I remember. I finally got all the jokes and references I was too young to understand at the time, and found that so many things from the movie are just as applicable today. No wonder @ModernClueless exists!

1. Of course Cher has an #OOTD app on her ~desktop~ computer. Were computers already touchscreen back then? Notice how the matchy-matchy look is trendy again!
    

2. One more thing that's all the craze again (or maybe it never went out of style?): juicing!
    

3. Look how pretty she is even with that silly face. I love how she kept playing with her hair throughout the movie.
    

4. "Dionne is my friend because we both know what it's like to have people be jealous of us." I didn't realize that they were both "named after great singers of the past who now do infomercials"!
    

5. I almost forgot about this thing boys thought was cool.
    

6. Josh the original hipster, growing a goatee and reading Nietzsche in the sun.
    

7. I don't remember being this obsessed with removing blackheads.
    

8. That orange she's slicing just came from the tree outside the window. Ugh, love her life.

10. How cute was BB Brittany Murphy? Clueless was actually the late actress's breakout role. Hope she's rolling with her homies up there.

13. I was wondering why his voice sounded familiar! This is Jeremy Sisto, Tessa'’s dad on Suburgatory. I just knew that he was in Clueless, and that Alicia Silverstone's guesting on Suburgatory was a big deal because it was reunion for them. I didn't know he was Elton, the jerk who left Cher in the middle of nowhere!
     

14. Never noticed how Tai made the most of her outfit at the dance.
     

15. A style tip from the queen bee: "I don't rely on mirrors so I always take Polaroids."
     

16.  "I know it sounds mental, but sometimes I have more fun vegging out than when I go partying." Totally get you, Cher.
