On this day fourteen years ago (14, omg!), the first Princess Diaries film came out and paved the way for Anne Hathaway's very successful career in Hollywood. The actress went on to star in several of this generation's most beloved films and took home a statuette from the Academy Awards for playing Fantine in the big screen adaptation of the musical Les Miserables. Three years might have gone by but we're still in love with Mia Thermopolis's adorable character and the film itself. And why not? Mia totally gets our struggles in high school, even the struggles we still have to this day.

10 Whenever you're having a bad day and your loved ones remind you who you truly are.
It may be hard to believe what they say, but it does help a little to be around them and get the reminder you need that you will always have someone to come home to. P.S. We're still waiting on our Michael Moscovitz (or Robert Schwartzman, we'll take either).
