When we decided on Ansel Elgort as our September cover boy, we were as excited as all of you! We can hardly wait to reveal the news to you, our dear Candy Girls, and hear all about your thoughts on our handsome cover boy. So when we finally made the announcement, we were all glad that you loved it as much as we do. We researched about Ansel (or Ansolo, if you're an EDM fan!) night and day, and uncovered a few interesting things and videos we thought we'd share with you. Check out some of them below!
1 Ansel is a born performer. His mom Grethe Holby is a known for her work in the opera, while his dad Arthur Elgort is a renowned fashion photographer who sometimes uses the Elgort kids as his models.
2 Ansel tried out for the School of American Ballet when he was nine and began acting classes when he was 12.
3 He starred with Gilmore Girls and The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants' Alexis Bledel in the off-Broadway production of Regrets.

4 Art runs in their family. Aside from his artist parents, Ansel's sister Sophie is a photographer and his brother Warren is a filmmaker. Remember that Town & Country shoot when he worked with his bro, sis, and dad?

5 He graduated from the prestigious Fiorello H. LaGuardia High School where he was trained creatively. Check out this performance of his for their school's production of Hairspray.
6 He can do a lot of things... really well. Aside from acting and producing music, Ansel can also sing, play the piano, model, paint, and play basketball. Is there anything he can't do?
7 He is a fan of the New York Knicks.
