Magui Ford was the talk of the town over the weekend after she rang in the big 1-8 with a glamorous birthday bash surrounded by family and friends. As proven by the plethora of positive words to describe her in her debut video by Amady Manila, including "enthusiastic, ambitious, artistic, brilliant, sweet," there's no denying that there's so much more to this now 18-year-old than just being Daniel Padilla's younger sister and Karla Estrada's daughter.
1. She's a Pisces.
Magui was born Margaret Fiona Ford Planas on February 28, 2002 to Karla Estrada and her ex-partner Mike Planas.
2. She never forgets to stay physically fit.
A quick stroll through Magui's Instagram—in which she currently has half a million followers—will tell you that she's the type to hit the gym and keep in shape. In fact, she even does muay thai and boxing training alongside her mom Karla, as evidenced by the latter's post below. "When boxing and Muay Thai training with your 17yr old daughter is so challenging! Muntikan na akong sumuka ng dugo eh," Karla jokingly wrote.
3. She has an undeniable close bond with her older brother.
Magui and Daniel clearly have a close sibling bond if their adorable moments from her 18th birthday were anything to go by. She's also not shy about supporting her brother on social media, often posting about his own projects and public engagements.Â
He even surprised her with a new laptop from the U.S. once. How cute!
4. She's a Benchsetter
Although the 18-year-old isn't quite set on joining show biz yet, she's already dipped her toes in the water last 2018 after officially becoming a Benchsetter. Magui joined the brand at the same time as other celebrity kids including Leila Alcasid, Angelina Montano, and Michelle Dee.
5. She's already quite the musician.
Magui wears many hats. Unsurpisingly she also sings, plays the piano, and has talked about writing her own songs on her Twitter account.Â
Daniel's concert last 2018 in Araneta Coliseum saw Magui crooning with her brother to Kahit Maputi na ang Buhok Ko, alongside ther sister Carmella and little cousin Jordan.
6. She learned to use makeup from Kathryn Bernardo.
In an interview on the morning talkshow Magandang Buhay, among other things, Magui revealed that she first ventured into using makeup after taking cues from her ate Kath. "Siya nag-influence sa 'kin. Kasi artista na si Ate Kath so marami siyang makeup and stuff. So nakikita ko siya and I'm like 'I wanna ba like that," said Magui during the interview.Â
7. She's tried out vlogging.
Magui released her first travel vlog in 2019, chronicling her trip to Japan with her family. While she hasn't uploaded a video since, fingers crossed she once again takes inspiration from Kathryn and her current ballooning YouTube presence to revive Love, Magui.
8. She's an ARMY
Magui tweets about the K-pop group so much her Twitter may as well be a stan account for BTS. We can't blame her, though, some of use can definitely relate.
9. She's a hardcore fan girl just like us.
Magui's just like your average teenager. Aside from her BTS obsession, she also occassionally airs out her love for the likes of Tom Holland and EXO on her Twitter. Heck, she even has photos with Cole Sprouse from when he visited Manila last April 2018. What a lucky fan girl!Â
10. She's on Tiktok.
A true Gen-Z kid, Magui's also on Tiktok. Beware of imposters though when you search for her on the app. As she's emphasiezd on social media, her handle comes with only one underscore, thank you very much!
