7 Villains We Secretly Love

They're not evil most of the time. Sometimes, they're just really misunderstood!

Some say that a movie is only as great as its villains. We may not have featured every great villain out there (because there are just too many to count!), but we made sure we include your faves. Here is a list of some of the villains we can't help but fall in love with.

  1. Tom Riddle (Voldemort) from Harry Potter

Who here had a crush on Tom Riddle before learning that he was the master of darkness? Come to think of it, Tom is just an orphan boy who never knew what love is because no one showed it to him. He manifests hate and fear because that is all he knows.

"Voldemort is my past, present, and future." —Tom Riddle (Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets

  1. Anakin Skywalker (Darth Vader) from Star Wars

Before he went to the dark side, he was this sweet and innocent boy who fell in love at first sight with Princess Padmé. One of the reasons he went to the dark side was actually because of the fear that he's not strong enough and may lose the people he loves. It started with his mother's death and that time, he was going to protect Padmé. He eventually lost his way in the end. Is it a crime to love too much?

  1. Loki from Thor

Like other villains, Loki is another example of a misunderstood guy. Growing up, he felt that he was living under the shadow of his brother Thor, and he wanted to gain his father's approval and appreciation. But after learning that he was adopted, things started to shift the wrong way. Despite his villainous ways, we love his wit and humor.

"I never wanted the throne, I only ever wanted to be your equal!" —Loki (Thor)

  1. Lotso from Toy Story 3

Pixar has made some complex characters, including this evil bear that we can't help but love. His backstory got so emotional that it brought us to tears. He's not really a bad guy; he's just a victim of circumstance.

"You'll never be outgrown or neglected. Never abandoned or forgotten. No owners means no heartbreak!" —Lotso (Toy Story 3)

  1. Pan from Once Upon a Time

It's unusual to see the dark side of Peter Pan. And when we finally did, it was genius!

  1. Klaus from The Vampire Diaries and The Originals

We just can't help but swoon over this vampire/werewolf hybrid. He may have a dark side, but there are moments when you can't help but fall for him. ♥

  1. Mojojojo from The Power Puff Girls

Here's a villian from our childhood days, Candy Girls! Mojojojo brings the nostalgia you never knew you needed.
