So many shows, so little time. We've rounded up the most buzzworthy ones, both new and returning, that deserve a spot on your viewing schedule this season.

  1. Riverdale (October 11)

What happened to Archie's dad, Fred? Will Bughead survive Juggy's move? How will Ronnie's dad's return affect everything? How will we survive with Ross Butler gone and a new Reggie in town? And what's up with that Supergirl teaser? Answers to all these and more when the show returns next month!

  1. Stranger Things (October 27)

The kids are still not all right—Will is haunted by the Upside Down, Eleven is missing in action, and the rest of the gang is still reeling from their horrific encounter with the demogorgon. The sleeper hit returns just in time for Halloween, and lucky for us viewers, we get both tricks and treats.

  1. This Is Us (September 26)

Bring on the emotions—your weekly dose of ooey gooey family drama is back. What seems to be front and center for the Pearsons now is Randall's desire to adopt a baby, just as he was adopted by Jack and Rebecca. Watch the trailer above and try not to tear up.

  1. Terrace House: Aloha State (September 26)

If you still haven't given this underrated Japanese reality show a chance, you are seriously missing out. Quiet drama, interesting developments, mouthwatering food—Terrace House has it all. The good news is that you still have a few more days to catch up on the six housemates’ lives before part four premieres on Netflix.

  1. Dynasty (October 11)

From the geniuses behind The O.C. and Gossip Girl comes a reboot of the classic soap about the wealthiest of the wealthiest. In the middle of all the drama are two women: Fallon, the daughter of billionaire Blake Carrington, and Cristal, the company employee who's marrying Blake to Fallon's absolute delight (not).

  1. Neo Yokio (September 22)

Starring Jaden Smith and created by Vampire Weekend's Ezra Koenig, this animated series is set in Neo Yokio, "the greatest city in the world." It's home to a family of demon slayers, the youngest of which (Jaden) has more pressing concerns than controlling occult activity, like mending his broken heart. Upping the cool factor of this series even more is Tavi Gevinson joining the fun as a former fashion blogger (ha!).

  1. The Good Doctor (September 25)

Straight from Bates Motel, Freddie Highmore is back in this medical drama from the creator of House. Freddie plays a young surgeon diagnosed with autism and savant syndrome, who faces new challenges when he starts working in a prestigious city hospital.

  1. The Mayor (October 3)

A struggling rapper becoming mayor? At a time when reality show hosts can become the leader of the free world, it's not so much of a stretch, is it? Courtney Rose ran for mayor as a publicity stunt, but at least he’s compassionate and familiar with the everyday struggles of the people in his neighborhood, which is more than you can say about most people in power. (Lea Michele also stars as a former rival turned ally.)

  1. Marvel's Inhumans (September 29)

Missing Ramsay Bolton's singular madness on Game of Thrones? Iwan Rheon is brewing up a different kind of storm on Inhumans, a new show about the Inhuman Royal Family (you'll remember them from Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.). Iwan plays Maximus, the king's brother who desires to be king himself. Different universe, same problems?

  1. The Orville (out now)

With Seth MacFarlane (Family Guy, Ted, American Dad) at the helm of this space odyssey set 400 years into the future, you know it's going to be a riot. Playing his First Officer (and ex-wife) is Adrianne Palicki, a total scene-stealer when she was still part of Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.
