- Snape's first words to Harry might mean more than you think.
Tumblr user tomhiddles, theorized that Snape's rude words when he first met Harry holds a secret message. It's actually more than a rude teacher dealing with a new popular student. Snape says "Potter! What would I get if I added powdered root of asphodel to an infusion of wormwood?" In flower language, asphodel means "my regrets follow you to the grave" and wormwood in flower talk means absence which actually translates to bitter sorrow. Putting those two together, what Snape is actually saying to the son of his love Lily was, "I bitterly regret Lily's death." (via MoviePilot.com)
- Sid became a garbage man to save toys.
Everybody hated the bully Sid from Toy Story because he's the reason why Woody and Buzz had a hard time getting back to Andy. But Reddit user londongarbageman tells a different story. He theorizes that after 15 years in Toy Story 3, Sid became a garbage man to right his wrongs of bullying toys when he was a kid. The theorizer, being a garbage man himself, wrote that they find lots of things from people's stuff and that "he (Sid) is trying to save the toys. He picked the one kind of job where you can rescue those things. And Sid is uniquely equipped to fix those toys that he finds that are broken." What made this theory more believable was the fact that the garbage man and Sid wore the same black skull shirt! (via Clipd.com)
- Peter Pan is an angel and Neverland is heaven.
The saddest Peter Pan theory ever, but most realistic one was that the boy who never grew up was actually an angel of death who holds children's hands to go to Neverland—which is heaven. - Marlin is actually going through the stages of grief.
That just made Finding Nemo even more heartbreaking! This theory states that at the start of the film, everyone in his family dies. Because the first stage of grief is denial, Marlin invents Nemo as a coping mechanism and that the whole film is actually just his journey going through the stages of grief. (via MoviePilot.com)
- E.T. uses the force and actually lived in the Star Wars universe.
Okay, so first we spotted E.T. in the Star Wars: Episode I council meeting. Then, in the movie of E.T., the alien saw a child wearing a Yoda costume and pointed to him and said "Home." This totally explains why he can make the bike fly—because he was using the force! (via BuzzFeed.com)
- The Powerpuff Girls and Samurai Jack share the same world. And Samurai Jack is the Professor.
Would you believe that the Powerpuff Girls and Samurai Jack lived in the same universe? The theory states that the professor from Powerpuff is actually Samurai Jack in the post-apocalyptic future! - Jack was never on board the Titanic ship. He never existed!
The theory goes that Jack is actually a figment of Rose's imagination in order for her not to commit suicide. She was in a vulnerable mental state so Jack was created to be the perfect guy companion that Rose could escape reality with. Everything she did with Jack, she actually did alone. Including the nude portrait—they theorize Rose painted it. This actually makes sense because at the beginning of the film, it was established that Rose loved art—she has a whole lot of paintings she could fit in a gallery!
