possible reasons:
- the image host where you uploaded the image requires a GD, i think teentalk doesn't have it. (try to upload it in photobucket)
- it doesn't allow hotlinking (again.. try to upload it in photobucket)
- the avatar should be 75x75 max

if problem still persist, please post the url here and i'll try to see if it needs resizing or uploading it in another image host.

this had been discussed for so many times and unfortunately, the link i gave in my first post was already deleted so here we go *again*, it's just a little overview though

anyway, first, you need an image editor and a gif animator

examples:
image editor                                                         gif animator
adobe photoshop             comes with                  adobe image ready
jasc paint shop pro           comes with                  jasc animation shop

these softwares are shareware meaning they aren't free and you have to buy them somewhere or download a free trial which usually lasts for about 30 days or so...there are free ones that you can download in the net, search for a gif animator in downloads.com or search in search engines.

now, how to make them, actually, you can't just ask like how to make them without specifying what software you actually used since different softwares have different functions. the best you can do is try to find a tutorial on the net, search in search engines like google, yahoo etc.

also remember that it takes time to learn it, may be weeks, or months or even a year if you're not willing to learn enough. there's no step by step tutorial, members here can provide you with a concept though but not a step by step tut.

Sunbae, how can I find any photos that only has 75 x 75 pixels? I try searching for some photos but I can't find them. And, I guess the normal avatar size is 100 x 100. And, I can't download Photoshop either because it might slow down our computer. If I would try resizing it, it'll be so small! I think I'd rather wait for the time you would change it into 100 x 100. BUT, I saw some other members which I find using 100 x 100 avatars. It's just as big as 100 x 100. Well, maybe I just have to keep on searching. Or maybe I'll just request an avatar!

how do you resize a gif avatar?
i tried resizing it at adobe, but it says that only one frame will be retained..
then i tried again in photobucket, same results.. the frames wouldn't move.
please help.
