I dunno. Never Let Me Go seems to be an epic failure. =.= Haha. But I`ll try harder this time.And yes, the setting will take place in Korea (because I fell in love with Kyu). <3

That period of my life was just mostly about him, be it physically or mentally. It’s sad that in all these years tho, I couldn’t store every single happy moment where he made me laugh, made me happy or helped me grow. I’m limited to what my memory has to offer.


Taking a picture from a book which was given to me by someone who is so dear to me , I let out a sigh as I reminisce.  “Kyuhyun-ah, even thou you forgot me.. I`ve never forgot you even once.”

Back in Busan, I always played in the sand with a small, chinky-eyed boy from Seoul.

 

Every once in a while, his rich parents would take him to the orphanage and let us play until we were sleepy while they squished comfortably on a bench underneath a large cherry tree.

 

At the edge of the orphanage, there would be a thin barbed wire fence. It was hardly a barrier to us, although we never managed to go on the other side without a few scratches. But this fence was the only boundary between our 8 year old fragile energetic bodies and the blue sea.



For hours, we would simply run around the seashore, trying to find some special stones and seashells. He would then gaze at the framing of my face and whisper a promise that he had told me numerous times to which I always respond with a nod.

“HaeRin-ah.. Let’s get married someday.”

“But you haven’t asked me to be your girlfriend yet!” I protested.

“HaeRin-ah. Will you be my girlfriend?” We both chuckled.

“Ne.” [Yes]

 

We could spend days in the beach without getting bored. Our fun only ended when his parents and Sister Julie appeared at the thin fence and yell at us to come back. We would return obediently with smiling faces.



Those days were my favorite.

 

Because KyuHyun-ah wasn’t just this or that; not even just my childhood friend or my playmate for almost a decade. He was kind of everything. KyuHyun-ah is my everything.

i like the flow of the story actually despite being only at first chapter.

winter falls - promopic








We were 14 when he broke the sad news for me.



“HaeRin-ah, we need to  talk.”


While the winter snow carefully began melting, introducing spring with one droplet of water at a time, he sat across from me unraveling the thick white scarf, slowly revealing himself, just like the spring.


“Aren’t you cold?” he asked me.


Just as he leaned forward and grabbed my frozen hands, I smiled. He rubbed my hands trying to warm them up. His comforting hands instantly warmed my icy hands, but his body sounded tired. He was upset and sad, I could tell. “Is there something wrong?” I asked him.




“Nothing's wrong.”
“Then I`m going back to the orphanage. Your parents are probably worried about  you already. Let's just talk tomorrow. You're tired.”



Then I heard him whisper a question of his own. “Should I just stay with you then ?”
To my surprise, he pulled me into a warm embrace.


“I’m going to America in 2 days, umma told me to continue my studies there…” he interrupted quietly.



“Oh,” I said, strucked by the sudden notice for a moment.

“Omo! You’re so lucky! How long are you—” I stopped in the middle of my sentence, his words had finally sunk into my brain.



My heart broke.



“Mianhe _[sorry]. I didn’t mean to hurt you.”




While he tried to pull away, I pulled forward. “It’s okay.” I gave him a reassuring smile, that’s what he needed. Somehow, I needed to show him it would be okay. Everything would be okay. I needed him to know, that I understand. So for KyuHyun, for myself and for us, I smiled. Everything was fine.. or at least it was going to be fine. It would be fine.



 I wanted to smile again, but I didn’t. Instead I rushed into him, and wrapped my arms around his body. It surprised him, but instead of pushing me away, he kissed me on the forehead.



“Don’t worry. I`m keeping the promise. I`m going to marry you. Arachi _[Understand]?” I bit my lip.


“Yah!~ LEE HAE RIN! Did you just change your mind?”


A pouting expression formed on KyuHyun’s face. He smiled, embarrassed at his own actions, and looked away. I couldn’t help but to laugh. This dork.

“Ani [no].” With KyuHyun on lead, our hands interlocked. We both stared t our clasping fingers, and he squeezed twice, and I squeezed back the same.



I wanted him to stay,I wanted to tell him, ‘KyuHyunah, can you just stay with me?’ but that would be selfish,right? So I did what I could.


I held  onto him.


I was afraid to let go, so for the time being I held on..
