CHAPTER 1
Carrie’s POV
“
Cassandra! Hurry up! We’ll be late.” I shouted from downstairs.
“
Don’t shout sweetheart, she’ll be here any second.” My mom said trying to calm me down.
That didn’t help at all. My mom is already in her thirties though she’s still beautiful. She has black short hair and black eyes. Her name is Kelly and she is the best mother in the world.
I was still walking back and forth in the living room. I’ve been waiting for her for about 1 hour and half. It’s making me impatient.
“
I’m coming Carrie! We won’t be late you know. It’s not even seven o’clock.” Cassandra responded while going down from the stairs.
I looked up and saw a stunning girl with hazel nut brown eyes and a long black wavy silky hair and was wearing a fuchsia pink tube dress with a length just a little above her knee. It suits her perfectly with a matching silver headband. She was also holding a pink pouch that matches her dress, pink stilettos and make up. It was Cassandra, my twin sister.
“
At last! You finally came down. I was waiting for you for hours.” I told her and sighed.
She locked arms with me and said, “
Come on, Carrie. I wasn’t that long anyway.”
Our mom approached us, “
Cass and Carrie, you should be going. You two might be late. I’d ask for your father to drive you at your school.”
“
Yeah, we really should. I don’t want any dramatic entrance.” I said still complaining about how long I waited for my twin sister.
“
But Carrie, we don’t look like twins. You look totally different from me.” said Cassandra while looking at me like she wants to do a makeover.
“
I look totally awesome and hot.” I boasted.
You see, I was wearing a black dress ripped in the skirt with a length above my knee in the right side and below the knee in the left side. It was also a tube dress and I was also wearing a belt. I’m wearing my mid-length wild calf black boots. It was flat that’s why Cassandra seemed taller than I am even though our heights are the same. We’re both 5’5’’.
I was also using gray colored contacts and my hair wasn’t long as Cassandra and I dyed it auburn last summer. It was a bit short just below my shoulder and it was definitely shaggy. I’m using my blue headband. The only thing that we have in common was our earrings. It has cross design, blue for me and pink for Cassandra. With all that, you can’t tell that we are twins except if you personally know us.
“
Hey girls, Steve is already waiting for you outside.” Our mom said while carrying Kurt, our three year old little brother.
We said our goodbye to mom and Kurt with hugs and kisses. The last thing Mom said was, “
Enjoy the night my sweethearts.”
“
Hey Dad! Hey Steve! ” Cassandra and I greeted at the same time.
Steve smiled at us while letting us in the car and asked, “
So where are we going girls?”
“
To the party!” Cassandra and I chorused.
We were both seated at the back seats of Steve’s car and I was busy with my phone, it’s the only thing I brought while Cassandra was checking her make up at her mirror.
Steve said while driving, “
I guess you two are already set for the party.”
“
Yeah, totally.” Cassandra replied smiling.
The trip to the school was quick and the school gymnasium was already packed with people. We said goodbye and thanks to Steve for driving us.
“
Shall we?” I said to Cassandra while holding the door of the gymnasium of Ranford Academy.
“
Sure.” Cassandra replied holding my hand.
I opened the door and we were blinded by the shining lights in the gymnasium.
