Earphone/headphone suggestions?
« on: November 12, 2010, 03:38:34 pm »
I'm looking for earphones/headphones similar to Bose and Dr. Dre (because Apple's earphones suck >:( ) but aren't as expensive . I want those where you can literally feel the music coming out from it. I remember my friend having a pair of Sony headphones that were really good, but I can't find it. I've heard some people suggest Skullcandy earphones, but I need more suggestions.

search for the brand called Logitech "Ultimate Ears", they are concert grade earbuds and even the low end versions are pretty great.

If you are willing to spend the money, there is also their uber high-end one which you will need to see a specialist to have your ears checked for a custom fit. (Remember, these are thousand dollar earbuds, handle with care) and they are significantly better than any Bose (which are overpriced) or Beats by Dre (Again, overpriced)

you can also go for sennheiser earbuds. Are you in it for the bass or the quality of the audio?

She said not as expensive, meaning lower price, not an increase.

Well, in the audio department, the saying is true "you get what you pay for"

if you wanna go cheap, get some sennheisers. for a richer bass, go for Beats, for great audio quality, the Shure brand is great. for the best quality sound, go for ultimate ears.

I recommend Panasonic RP-HTX7. It has a cool retro design and the audio's really good. if you want Skullcandy (though i think this one's a bit overrated and the design is too loud for my taste) i recommend the Skullcandy Agent it's durable unlike the Hesh model.

Beats by Dr. Dre for its legit noise-cancelling feature. Haha. Though it took me a long while to find a local seller since it's way overpriced in mall stores.

Philips has a variety of headphones with good quality and it has a volume control just like Apple iPod earphones. Prices usually range from a thousand bucks  to three thousand max. They also have cool designs, some people actually thought it was Skullcandy. LOL

skullcandy has so-so sound with tacky designs. if you're planning to go for skullcandy Ti (the most expensive non-noise cancelling model), might as well go for grado sr60i or sr80i. they cost around 5-7k but once you pick up these cans, you'll never want anything else.

a cheaper and more portable alternative is the koss portapro, it's cheaper if you buy it online or in the states, some shops here sell it for 2.5k

happy shopping!
