For me Popularity is not quite important but sometimes it can help being on that position.It is okay being popular in a good way though.....

Popularity is a nonsense if you've grown known without having to contribute something about anything. Like, YES YOU'RE PRETTY & POPULAR. After that what's next? Do you have brains? Talents? Or something besides photos of you and make-up?
Other than that, popularity is just for social climbers. Really.
