If you're not too keen on thrift buying I suggest trying fashion swapping - you know swap your stuff with other girls' stuff. At least you'll know it's really pre-loved and didn't come from nowhere. The only website I know where you can swap fashion items as far as from Singapore is http://www.clozette.co/explore.

kaso ung iba walang magagandang damit,
tas ung iba naman may magaganda nga ang mahal naman.
ung isang skirt 150! grabe para na akong bumili ng bago sa dvsoria.

I asked my mom to go with me to Cubao last Monday. We searched for Kabunyan Thrift shop in Cubao. Nabasa ko kasi sa blog ni Theukayqueen na maraming good finds dun. Mura nga. Kaso mahirap makipagtawaran.

HI! I just want to try thrift shopping too. But my mom told me not to. She said the clothes there are dirty or maybe the original owner has disease that I can acquire when I wear the clothes. Especially pants (on crotch), shirts (UA).

Hi! I think the best way to disinfect clothes that are from ukay-ukay is to soak it in hot-warm water. My mom said na dapat daw sa mainit na tubig siya ibabad para daw mamatay yung germs and then make sure you properly hand wash it for the first 2 times ata. Tapos after nun okay na siya. You can wash it on the normal way or in the washing machine. Hahaha!

I'm actually very fond of going to ukay-ukays lalo na sa Cubao, Anonas and V. Luna. Yung favorite ko bilhin dun yung mga tops na may unique graphic designs and yung mga pants na ginagawa kong shorts. I even opened an online store that sells clothes from ukay-kay na washed and disinfected na. Kasi pag bumubili ako sa ukay-ukay tapos may nagustuhan ako na damit kaya lang di kasya sakin nanghihinayang ako. Kaya nagbukas na lang ako ng online shop para mabili ko padin yung damit tapos ibebenta ko na lang in very low prices.

I've never been to ukays. Grabe, I badly want to try pero natatakot talaga ako na baka galing sa patay yung mabili ko. My friend told me a story kasi na may kakilala siya na bumili sa ukay and then nung nagsasalamin siya may nakita daw siya na naglakad sa likod niya na may kaparehas na damit. So ayun, yung mommy daw ng friend niya pinasoli agad yung damit! Haha Scary..

I LOVE THRIFT SHOPPING!

It started when I kept on seeing people in school (DLSU) na may kapareho ako na damit! I mean, it is a school na madami middle class so it makes sense na sa Zara, Topshop, and Mango sila mamili. I still buy in those shops though, but I only purchase the basic pieces like shirts, vests, or any item which I think na worth it naman yung price. Kaasar lang minsan na may kapareho ka (after saving money, biglang makita mo yung friend mo meron din haha BV! ) sooo my blockmate - who thrift shops also - told me to come with her and man, I GOT HOOKED I am able to score so many PRETTY pieces (you just really have to have a good eye for nice clothes)! People compliment me most of the time.. asking questions like

'San mo nabili yan? Sa Zara ba?'
'OMG! May nakita akong top sa Singapore na ganyan! Dun ba yan galing?'

Etc etc. Hahaha actually, I just bought 2 braided belts earlier @ P100 each! I love ittt

Just make sure to boil the clothes or clean it with baking soda para mawala talaga yung amoy

Actually, dun ako lagi namimili. Hahaha! Heaven ko yun eh. Surprising enough, di naman nakakasuffocate kasi meron namang electric fans and spacious din naman sila. Kasi kung masusuffocate ka, edi na-una na sila ate at kuya na nagbabantay dun diba? Hahaha!
