I used to go to ukays when I was still in Pinas. Lot's of unique things in there. I scout for dresses and jackets/oversized tops.

I do go thrift shopping. Masaya kasi. Especially if you are able to find good pieces at very very cheap prices. Just recently I bought three polos at 15Php each. Cheap right?  ;D ;D ;D ;D

I wish my dad lets me go ukay. Because he thinks clothes in the ukay are jinxed or whatever  ;D(Though I was able to purchase something without his knowing. A classic LBD made for only 50 pesos). But seriously, i think Ukays are great! I know a place nga that's a long(but cheap :P) jeepney ride from my place where there are lots of Ukays around(IN ONE AREA! IMAGINE THE COMPETITION--AND THE ROCK BOTTOM PRICES!)But sigh....my Dad nga kasi. But I'll sneakily do so again--ONE DAY.  ;D
I am extraordinary if you ever get to know me. :)

What i love about Ukay2x is that you can get vintage stuffs that are with low prices! I work in a call center industry so I always wear jackets at work and i'm buying them at Ukay2x for like P200 only. My colleagues likes my jacket and they're shocked when I tell them I just bought it at Ukay2x! :)

(Like Greenhills siguro?) Ewan, but eto yung pagkakaintindi ko.

Base on my experience, nakabili na ako ng mga damit from a thrift shop. Plus, good quality pa.

Pros for Thrift shop:
-Wala kang kapareha ng damit. Unlike braded stores. There was a time, I met a lady who wears same top as mine. This was also the experience of my mom, brother's friend, and my friend. Lahat ng mga damit na yun is from a famous store.

Ans: NO! In fact, the prices in the thrift shop are the same for the prices in the branded clothes. What I mean is if the thrift shop is selling a garment for 200 pesos, that's also the same price as the branded one. But with the branded clothes, they add mga almost 100% for the brand lalo na pag sikat ang damit or pag galing abroad. So pag branded they added mga 400 na siguro kasi sikat yung brand nila. Kaya magiging 600 na yung damit.    haha. :)

Conclusion: I've tried to wear clothes from thrift & famous stores. All of them are in good quality. Its just depend on how you shop and how you take good care of your clothes. :D

QUESTION!

:) i miss ukay-ukay.
