She was young and reckless.

Maria Natalie Cervantes dropped her mongol pencil. She pouted, a crease forming in her forehead. She was not in the mood to do writing today; writing was boring. She would rather paint pretty flowers or sing Jack and Jill rather than practice writing her name. It was long and ugly.

The five year old ball of energy slumped herself backwards, falling to the rubber mat. Her hands were spread, making her appear like a bird in flight. She was simply tired, as effortless as her work was. Her breaths came in gasps. Her small hand flicked her bangs back.

Then someone accidentally stomped on her pigtailed hair.

Her shrill scream bounced to the walls, grabbing the attention of her teacher, Ms. Ferolina. Natalie tugged her hair back and punched the leg of the clumsy stomping fellow.

"Miss! Miss! He stomped on my hair!" Natalie pointed an accusatory finger to the suspect. Nonchalantly, the boy shrugged, as if he cared less. The mud from his sneakers were now passed to the delicately formed hair. In realization, he smirked.

"Your hair is pretty." His hands reached out to the dirty tresses. Natalie huffed and turned around.

"Alright. Matteo, remove your sneakers and put it back to the rack." Ms. Ferolina  loosened the ties of Matteo's shoes and gave it to him. Bad thing, Matteo was a young prick. He scraped the mud from his sneakers and playfully wiped it on Natalie's cheek.

Another scream. Then another punch. Natalie ran back to Ms. Ferolina. The elder did not care if her pretty skirt was ruined with filth. She looked at Matteo, her narrowing eyes judging his angelic smile.

"Time-out for you when I get back."

Because of that day, Ms. Ferolina would never forget about the little princess and the mischievous prince. Their childhood banter was just the start; life has got more to give.

Labs. I love it much. I missed my kinder days. Haha. Nakikipag-away ako nun eh. pag kinukuha ung bote ng gatas na baon ko haha. :)
