Author's Note

Let me explain how this works:

Sabi nga ni Piano Boy, "Medyo boring talaga sa simula." 

• Siguro nga medyo boring, but don't expect too much because this story is from the heroine's blog, it's from the heroine's point of view. As in parang nagbabasa lang talaga kayo ng blog.

This story uses a lot of imagination from the readers. Put yourself in the shoes of the blogger. So don't expect any formal and normal exchange of conversations between characters.

• Baka mabagalan din kayo sa takbo ng story and mabitin sa mga moments nila, that's part of the story. I am aiming for a love story that has a normal and realistic interaction among the characters of these story. So kung mas gusto niyo ang abnormal, sorry to disappoint you but that's not gonna happen.  May konting comedy naman. Konti nga lang.

• As for the character's names... they don't have names. They will remain anonymous forever. O kaya kung matripan ko mang lagyan ng pangalan sa bandang huli na lang... iyon ay kung matatapos ko tong story na to. But it’s also up to you guys. If I get enough comments then I will consider giving them names.

But for now, just simply refer to them as blogger, pianist/piano boy, and violinist/violin girl. Mas may mystery effect kasi pag walang pangalan., don't you think so? Tsaka may explanation naman si Ms. Blogger kung bakit walang name eh. Sa future chaps pa yun.

• Also, the entries could be very long or very short. It depends. Minsan kailangan ding mag read between the lines.

... and comment naman kayo dyan! I need to improve my writing skills. It would be a big help if you could give me constructive criticisms. Constructive po hindi Destructive.  

If you still don't like the story, eh di sa recycle bin ang tungo nito. hehe. I know this type of writing style is not fully patronized by candymag readers but I will still take the risk.

Entry 2

Subject: Upright

April 14, 2010

It’s the second week of lessons and this place didn’t change at all. It’s still as shabby as ever.

Last time, I said that I will tell mom about the problem of this place but I ended up saying nothing. Don’t ask. I don’t know why I did that either.

After courtesy greetings, they started the lesson. My sister looks like she is really into it which I never understood why.

I was never a fan of piano.  When I watch someone play it; my friend, my neighbor, my favorite singer, it looks really easy.  It’s like they are pressing random keys then bam! It produces good music.

But the truth is, it is the most complicated thing I have ever encountered in my whole life! … next to trigonometry of course.

My cousins started learning how to play the piano at a very young age and only two of them managed to continue playing up until now. And it didn’t help with my lessons that I constantly hear them whine to their parents on how hard it is to learn. Since then, I started disliking this big, black, shiny musical instrument.

Then I quit piano lessons and try to stay away from any piano as far as possible. I was even once scolded by my music teacher because I refuse to sit near the piano.

It’s pretty funny now that I think about it.

But it was never funny that I accidentally kicked my foot at the bottom of that old piano this morning. And I was wearing flip flops! Oh my toe!

Anyway this guy, as I mentioned last time, is kinda cute. I don’t know if it’s because of dehydration why I thought that, but he surely doesn’t look cute to me right now.

I thought that the exact moment I see him; I’ll get kilig to the bone marrow. But nooo! I didn’t feel anything at all. Not even a single bit. Maybe I got delusional last time.

I was in deep thought that I didn’t notice my sister pigging out alone on the food I brought. And we were supposed to share it!

Upright.

I stared at him. He repeats it again. Is he telling me that upright is his name? Oh wait. I just realized that we haven’t been formally introduced to each other. He sat beside me and smiled.

Upright yung tawag sa piano na kanina mo pa tinititigan.

Oh.  He didn’t notice that I was staring at him.  Good. I smiled at him and introduced myself. He chuckled when he realized that he doesn’t know my name either and introduce himself to me.

That’s when he started talking about the different kinds of piano and everything related to it. Man, he really knows his stuff. He keeps on talking and talking and… talking. I don’t know what happened but every time he speaks, realization becomes clearer in my head. Him, talking animatedly about these stuff that he knows well, it makes him cute. More like cool actually.

He is a hardcore pianist. He is awesome. Now I’m feeling the kilig!  I may have disliked the piano but I can never resist a musician. Can you? I didn’t think so.

I got a feeling that I won’t hate the piano now as much as I used to.  I tapped the top of the piano, secretly thanking it.

Upright isn’t that bad at all.

My piano teacher way back in highschool is a nun. When I'm in college my piano teacher happens to be a guy but then he's gay and he reminds me so much about pooh (The comedian)  If he were that hot as what you've previously describe i swear i would never miss a single lesson. I like it when you said they'll be anonymous forever, i'd be hoping that you'd introduce them at every chapter but then you will not so I'll wait for the next chapter and hope again, hahaha sorry for the whole babbling thing! Grabe, ang gusto ko lang sabihin, it keeps me wanting to read more.
