i don't really know what to make of this.

people really need to sort out their priorities and not include bullying on them. on the other hand, tolerating bullying is as bad as the act of bullying itself. i mean, why did no one even do anything to intervene? just one intervention could have saved a girl's life.

Based sa research na ginawa ko,Phoebe moved from Ireland to South Hadley, Massachussetts.  She was bullied for months because of her race,  of dating someone on the football team, and because of being pretty.  I saw her picture.  Maganda talaga sya. After a long and intense day of bullying, kung saan dumaan ung mga bullies sa house nya tapos pinagbabato ata sya ng bote or something, she hung herself in the stairwell. Sana magawan nila ng pagbabago to.  >:(

I actually heard all these things you researched on TV. On Inside Edition many months ago. I was so shocked. SHE WAS SO PRETTY! And they also showed the picture of the guy she dated. And he was hot.  :P Obviously, the bullying stemmed from Jealousy and racism. It's sad that it lost the life of Phoebe. The kids who bullied her are sick. I actually saw them on Inside Edition, too and god, why did she let theses kids get to her? People shouldn't let people like them get into their heads. Always hold your head high knowing you can get past this cause you can and will no matter how difficult.  :) And the fact that people(even those who weren't from her school) still post nasty comments on her Memorial Page disgust me even more. I wish they knew a lot of kids these days die because of them.
I am extraordinary if you ever get to know me. :)

I must admit I've done some online bashing too.  :-\ But not as worse as that. :| I know that it must've been really hard for Phoebe, but she shouldn't have done that because those meanies are just hopeless! They're heartless and they would be happier now that she's gone because they can say that they "won".   I wish Phoebe had friends/people who told her how beautiful she is and people who told her how much God loves her.  :-[

Never heard about this story before. Honestly, ngayon ko lang nabasa at nalaman 'to. Mas nakaka-awa ang mga bullies na yun. But I was a bit disappointed, (i think) no one even tried to stand up against them, kahit yung head ng school didnt. But I have learnt something from a bully in my school. Though we don't consider him as a bully, he have several traits na bully-like talaga. The difference is he didn't tried hurting anyone. There are certain personal problems that lead him to do those kind of things just to cover up his sad emotions. --hindi naman natin malalaman ang reason behind every step a person take if we won't look between the lines.

Second, being too much techie-like person. Spends almost all of the time in the internet and texting isn't really cool for me. I would freak out like a mom kung makakakita ako ng isang babae na iba na ang pinopost sa facebook and a guy does the same thing with her. Who on earth knows his/her 1000+ friends in facebook? Or all of his/her followers on twitter & tumblr? Yes, they require some basic informations and such. Pero who here doesn't know anyone with multiple accounts on facebook? Or does create a codename and stalk on his/her crush? We trust too much on computers. Kaya siguro ginamit ng mga bullies na yan ang social networking sites because we could be anonymous or change our codenames.

good thing i don't have a formspring account. actually i have but i think i never opened it. haha!  :) im an example of a bullied person. since elementary i was bullied. but look at me now, im graduating from high school. i was strong enough not to let those hurtful, destructive things get into me. i feel pity for the girl. she doesn't deserve that. sana ma-karma yung mga nam-bully sa kanya.

This just sucks. Why can't everybody keep their mouth shut if they have nothing good to say?

I think cyber-bullying is one of the cons of today's technology. I have a friend who've been bullied in the internet, all along I thought it was normal and not that harmless to the point that it can be a cause of suicide. I guess was wrong. :(
Now I think it should just really stop before the number of teens who kills themselves becomes bigger.

"Sticks and stones can only break bones but words can shatter a soul"

This is true because when I was in high school, I also experienced how it was to be bashed by people who didn't even know me. I'm this silent/reserved-type of person so people usually think that I am suplada. It also didn't help that I got into a relationship with a junior (I was a sophomore then) who was liked by a lot.  Suddenly, some girls (and gays) were standing in front of my face, accusing me of being this and that.  I cried all the time but fortunately, my classmates were there to back me up. I was the youngest in the class so whenever I cried, they would fight those "detractors" at all costs. It also helped that I became honest with my mom and aunt.

Come college, there's still minimal bashing and what's worse is that I actually know some of these "bashers" who just pretend to be nice. Throughout this years, I've learned that establishing a good support system is very important so that you'll be strong and unaffected when someone threatens to ruin you. Haters are only strong when you're at your back. I'm thankful that I have my family, friends, and boyfriend who never fail to remind me how loved I am despite the baseless judgments being thrown upon me.

I feel bad for Phoebe because I believe she's more than just a beautiful face. I have this feeling that she's nice as well because she managed not to take revenge against those meanies. It's just sad that she killed herself for those worthless and horrible people who were obviously masking their insecurities.    :(

There’s been so much talk about bullying recently, so I’m thrilled to tell you that ABC Family and Seventeen Magazine are working together to help Delete Digital Drama! I’m from the network, and I’m so delighted that part of these efforts include a new ABC Family original movie Cyberbully and a special Stomp Out Bullying PSA with the star Emily Osment. After watching the preview, I really think the new movie will shine a light on the topic. I know I’ll be watching the premiere (Sunday, July 17 at 8/7c) will you?
