are High School friends FOREVER?

they say HS pals are forever, but after college, everyone go their separate ways. some even forgets to look back.

so do you think yours would last?

Depende. Some high school friends can fall out of your circle and you guys can lose communication. Kaya minsan, konti na lang natitira. Lalo na after College.

Mas maganda kung hindi nawawalan ng communication. Kasi yun ang main reason kung bakit hindi masyadong naglalast ang high school friendships.

bihira ang magkaroon ng friends na tatagal 'forever'. that being said, it's not impossible for some of your hs friends to be your friends beyond hs. however, it's inevitable for you and your friends to drift away from each other, because you're all going to different paths in college, and along the way building your identity and discovering who you really are. your friends will change as well and sometimes you might discover that who she was in high school might not be what she is right now, and you have nothing in common, apart from history. at that point you have to decide if you still want to be friends with her.

i only have one year left before i graduate from college, and to be honest i have lost touch with 90% of my high school friends. it's funny to see how much they have changed. granted, i'm not a people person and i dont have a large circle of friends, but i still meet up with my closest hs friends, but those happen rarely because we have conflicting schedules. we have facebook and YM, but it's really hard.

Not all high school friends last forever. Some continue to bring out the best in each other no matter how far apart they are. Some grow apart.


It's been two years since I graduated high school and I'm still good friends with two of my high school best friends. And I still stay in touch with my other close friends from high school, even if I'm in a different place now. We still talk on the phone or chat online or see each other on Skype (thank God for technology). Two years isn't a long time... I hope this goes on because I really love my high school friends.

Oo naman! Kahit one year pa lang kaming graduate ng HS, alam kong magtatagal kami. Kahit kasi hindi na kami nagkakasama, kahit na minsan, wala talaga kaming communication, kapag nagkikita kami, parang yung dati lang. At hindi lang yan sa barkada namin. Halos lahat ng kbatch namin, ganyan.

my high school friends have been my friends since elementary. we're now graduating from college and despite our different courses, and schools, we've remained to be really good friends. i'd like to believe our friendship would last forever, that even despite the fact that we'd each go on our separate ways, lead separate lives, we'd still get together once in a while, talk, laugh and eat eat eat.

It depends. After highschool, you’ll start living your own lives and you will start getting busy. If you’re really good friends, you’ll find time no matter how busy you are to see them. I’ve just graduated from college last month. I haven’t seen some of my classmates /friends for a while but we manage to meet up and talk about our lives once in a while.

it's up to you and your friends. after high school i gained new friends and lost connection to my hs friends but recently we've reunited. haha. iba kasi ang samahan nung high school kami since all of us lived in dorms so we're like a family. now, no matter how busy we are, we schedule to meet up at least once a month and catch up on each other's lives.

Depende na siguro yun sa'yo at sa mga kaibigan mo. Madalas kasi, naghihiwa-hiwalay na pagdating ng college, minsan nawawalan na ng communication..

Tulad ko, medyo nawalan na rin ako ng communication sa HS friends ko. Konti na lang nakakausap ko.

DEFINITELY ..according to my experience. since first year high school until now that we are second year college, we are close friends ..it's funny to hear that four of them are still my classmates now in college ..

depende na sa inyo. kami ginagawan talaga namin ng paraan. for example, every sembreak or summerbreak, reunion kami lagi. and there's text and facebook naman.
