1. South China Mall
Location: Dongguan, China
Year Opened: 2005
Gross Leasable Area: 7.1 million square feet
In the Chinese mall arms race, this facility opened a year after the Golden Resources Mall to displace it as the country’s and the world’s largest. The space includes wind mills and theme parks, plus a replica of the Arc de Triomphe.

2. Golden Resources Shopping Mall
Location: Beijing, China
Year Opened: 2004
Gross Leasable Area: 6 million square feet
Not sprawling, this is a stacked-up five-story mall. Approximately 1,000 stores, selling plenty of familiar global brands like Nike and DKNY. A truly ambitious real estate project, with new apartments and offices, surround the mall. A tough location outside the heart of the city has resulted in disappointing traffic from foreign tourists.


3. SM City North Edsa
Location: Quezon City, Philippines
Year Opened: 1985
Gross Leasable Area: 4.6 million square feet
The first major “mega mall” built by SM Prime Holdings, which now claims three of the largest 10 in the world. It’s a five-story complex that boasts over 100 retail outlets and restaurants, along with 12 cinemas, a bowling alley and skating rink. andn IMAX theater.


4. SM Mall of Asia
Location: Pasay City, Philippines
Year Opened: 2006
Gross Leasable Area: 4.2 million square feet
Includes the first Olympic-sized swimming pool and first IMAX theater in the Philippines. Spread over four buildings, customers can get around on a 20-seat tram.

Wow! Ang laki na pala talaga ng SM North. Yun ang favorite mall ko at Trinoma kasi 2 rides lang ako nandun na ako.
Grade school student pa lang ako SM North na yun tsaka maliit pa yun noon pero ngayon ang laki na umabot na dun sa Philippine Surgeon. Tsaka matagal na din talaga yung SM North. Bakanteng lote pa lang yung kinatatayuan ngayon ng Trinoma meron ng SM North.

I remember nung bata kame ni ate lagi kame dinadala dito. HAHA. Gusto ko yung Annex. Ayoko nung main mall. Corny kasi eh. Panget pa nung tiles na ginamit dun sa main mall. I prefer Ayala Malls kase mas maganda yung ambiance. Eh yung Annex me pagka Ayala Mall ang dating. Tsaka yung The Block. (:

I prefer SM North than MOA! I don't get it why many people still prefer to go to MOA, ang init init don dahil ang mga aircon nasa botiques lang. LOL. SM North pa din... parang everything is there already, buti na lang malapit lang samin.

Hindi pa ako nakakarating sa MOA kasi ang layo samen sa SM North ako malapit. Narinig ko ang malaki kasi sa MOA yung ground nila pero yung mismong mall hindi malaki. Yung sa SM North kasi malaki yung mismong mall. Napakahaba na nya. Mas mahaba na kesa sa Mega Mall, haha!

Ang nakakatuwa lang ngayon may connection na sa SM North at Trinoma. Dati kasi ang hirap lumipat sa kabilang mall lalo na kapag umuulan kasi sigurado mababasa ka. Ngayon hindi na.

When I want to shop, I prefer going to SM North. Pero if you just want to eat out or gimik with your friends (watch a concert or something) I prefer MOA.

I never got lost in MoA or SM North or even MegaMall but I got lost not once, not twice but thrice in SM City Cebu! Hahaha

Nalulula ako sa dami ng boutiques and stalls. This is a shopper's haven!
