The Lovely Bones

The Lovely Bones is a 2009 film directed by Peter Jackson. It is a film adaptation of the award-winning and best-selling 2002 novel of the same name by Alice Sebold. The film stars Saoirse Ronan in the lead role as protagonist Susie Salmon, along with Mark Wahlberg and Rachel Weisz, as her parents Jack and Abigail Salmon respectively, in supporting roles.

Plot:

On December 6, 1973, 14-year-old Susie Salmon (Saoirse Ronan) is raped and murdered by a neighbor, George Harvey (Stanley Tucci), a serial killer of young girls. Susie finds herself in 'the in-between' - a Heaven-like place, observing her family as they grieve for her. She also watches her killer who, having covered his tracks successfully, is preparing to murder again. Her father Jack (Mark Wahlberg) becomes obsessed with his daughter's murder, while her mother Abigail (Rachel Weisz) moves away to numb the pain. Susie struggles to balance her desire for vengeance on Harvey and her desire to have her family recover from their loss.[

i saw the trailer weeks ago. i think it's interesting. but not interesting enough for me to watch it in the theatre

my opinion about the movie: A DISAPOINTMENT! wala yung mga scenes na maganda..

ayos naman yung scenes sa 'heaven' ni susan. ang kulet kasi. medyo disappointed lang ako sa ending. nabasa ko yung book pero hindi ko natapos. ganun pala ending.

Napanood ko yung first parts nito, at ito din yung mga parts na nabasa ko sa libro. I don't know pero talagang kinopya yung libro, yung parang word by word ganun. Yung iba kaseng adaptations iniiba nila yung flow pero ito hindi. Hindi ko pa tinuloy panonood, I plan to finish the book. Nainip ako sa kalagitnaan ng libro kase naman parang wala ng thrill, nakakainip na.

The book is really nice. Parang ayoko nga panoorin yung movie kasi baka masira yung essence ng book, but it's nice to see special effects sa story. May parts yung book na medyo dragging, kaya gusto ko rin makita sa big screen kung papaano nila gagawan ng paraan yung parts na yun.

Finished it already. Middle part is somehow dragging. Parang wala man climax. Parang minadali. Kumbaga hinaheighten pa lang yung excitement bigla na lang mawawala yung excitement mo dahil binagsak ka na at hindi ka na dumating sa point na super na-excite talaga. Ewan ko kung bakit. Di ko din tinapos libro nito noon eh. The movie made me cry. Pero parang nung minurder na siya dun na nagtapos ang kwento. Hahaha. Basta. Comment ko lang ito. Try watching it...
