pwede pa yun gawin nilang venue ang simbahan for caucuses or town-hall meetings etc etc kasi usually, simbahan lang naman ang nakakapag hold ng ganun kalaking tao (aside from gyms)
and so i take the issue very carefully, not very swift to condemn those who go to church to campaign nor very swift to condone them.
1. politicians can speak inside churches,
2. politicians can even stand outside the church and greet church goers after the mass,
3. politicians can sit in front of the church or in those designated areas where they can be seen by the congregation
BUT
politicians should not speak about their campaign DURING the Holy Mass, for by doing so, they are committing the sin of Sacrilege.

so there.
after all, there is some good in it. when a politician goes to church (whatever his intentions are), he implies that the Church is above him, and so he goes there to get support.
in the longer run, the implication is that the Sacred Institution is over and above the Secular.
I prefer things to run in that manner.

As for you, obedient Catholic, if you are able to vote, put Catholic Principles and the interests of the Church above the other agenda of the politician.
if you're not yet eligible, tell your parents that.
for starters, I suggest Manny Villar.

lol joke
