Facial Hair... what's the best way to remove them?
« on: December 31, 2009, 12:25:09 AM »
oh yes, i was mega annoyed when i saw this thick thing on my upper lip. well its not as worse as what guys get but its still noticeable..

i tried searching for ideas online, they recommended Laser, Shaving, waxing... and more.

im not into Laser coz i hate spending too much and i prefer the option that i can do at home.

parang di ko rin feel mag shave kase im afraid na it may get worse at mas kumapal pa yung facial hair sa upper lip ko.

my brother says shaving is the best option but i have to do it regularly. e panu nga kung kumapal?..

mga sis help!!!! :'(

ako may facial hair din. dati shave ng facialist ko. pero i told her to stop. kasi kakapal yun pag nag shave ka. if hnd naman makapal or noticable let it be. kasi if  pluck it will grow back padin and kakapal lang.

try threading. i get it done on my eyebrows and upper lip twice a month. masakit nga lang. but after a while nasanay na rin ako. the hair grows thinner and lesser.

Sis you have already eliminated two options, I don't know how else you can remove your upper lip.

Actually, you can either live with it and accept it..... Or, you will need to spend to get rid of it temporarily or permanently.  Temporary treatment would be bleaching.   This means your upper lip hair will turn blonde.  If you are have a nice face, you can get away with this, cute tignan.  If you have a plain face, this will look awkward siya sis.

If you pluck or shave, you will end up with chicken skin and maybe pimples in those areas.

Lasers are expensive, especially the good ones so tama ka, better wait for the time when you have work and you can spend for your own beauty treatments na :)

Sugaring  :)

Para din ung threading kaso mas less ouch factor haha. Same price naman sila eh :) Every month nagpapasugar ako ng facial hair, upper lip and eyebrows. So far, effective naman ;)
Maybe i don't want to grow up

The sugaring can cause chicken skin.  My friend used to bleach her upper lip.  It works for her because she has fair skin.

A nice laser machine would cost around 1,500 per session pero permanent hair removal na siya so worth it din in the long run.

Bleaching ang the best. Hindi kakapal and hindi tutubo ng paulit ulit. Kapag tinanggal mo kasi, may tendency na kumapal tapos hindi pa simultaneously yung pagtubo ng hair. Diba sisses?

my derma says hindi naman kumakapal ang hair with shaving. It just looks thick because of the angle of the hair when shaved. when it grows to a certain length, parang back to normal naman.

diode laser hair removal at skin house is around 1k to 1.5k per session, i think affordable siya kasi 4 to 6 weeks naman interval and long term investment siya.  Permanent hair reduction kasi.
