you have to get an endorsement letter from your school because most of the companies will require that before they can process your application.

know some vital information for your target companies like their where their main offices are located, which department/s accept interns, whether they prefer walk in or online applicants and so on.  also, job hunting sites like jobstreet.com and jobsdb.com may help you search for companies with frequent job postings. some companies will also require interview but not as rigorous as those who apply for a permanent job.
 
i'll advise you to apply for internship to the best companies (Unilever, Procter and Gamble, Johnson and Johnson, Meralco) because you can never go wrong with them in terms of the tasks they will delegate to you. you have to go for the company that can give you the real experience suited to your chosen field  and not those clerical in nature or unrelated to your course.
