i can't call yung ginagawa ng pop girls and the like na P-pop kasi for me it's pure copying ng K-pop. yung ginagawa kasi ng pop girls is halatang copy. they didn't incorporate Filipino elements. so i think to call something P-pop, it should show something new and very pinoy. :)

I personally don't like PPOP, KPOP fan kasi ako and I feel that parang trying hard sila, especially XLR8. ELF kasi ako, a suju fan, and yung isa nilang kanta tonong tono sa sorry sorry, and I just don't like it!

Sana kung gagawa sila ng kanta with their original melody, and sana kahit pure english or tagalog muna, bago nila ipaghalo yung dalawa. If they try to make everything orginal, eh di dapat wala silang antis, sana lang kung may originality diba?

It's my opinion. IT'S NOT SOMETHING WE SHOULD BE PROUD OF!

Sorry if I offended anyone, it's just my opinion

NO. I don't like P-POP. Walang orginality and lahat parang ginaya lang. Like yung XLR8 who copied Super Junior and Pop Girls who copied Wonder Girls. I find it weird na kung kelan sumikat yung K-POP sa philippines doon na nagstart mabuo yung P-POP.

Okay lang pag yung P-POP natin yung Spongcola, Bamboo, Sandwhich etc. At least naman naiiba at hindi ginaya. It's something that I'm not proud of.

I agree!

They need to get a life. No, really. I'm not bashing them. I'm just being honest. Why can't they be creative in their own ways?  :'(

Have you guys heard of "K-POP meets P-POP" Concert?

oh my... I'm wondering what korean artists will think once they hear "You're so hot" by XLR8. baka kasi isipin nila, "SORRY SORRY" UGH.

I'm very amazed by the fact that korean artists undergo years of training before they debut. so that just means na super galing na nila bago pa sila ipakilala.

Sigh. People should check Asian pop music as a whole, instead of basing everything to KPOP. Because no, KPOP isn't as original as some are saying here. I like KPOP, actually love it at some point lol so don't get me wrong.

I get that P-pop took some notes from Kpop idols as we are currently experiencing the kpop wave now, but I won't say these Pinoy groups are copying everything from them. That colorful, catchy pop groups have been around in Asia since who knows when. That 'you're so hot' thing was horrendous and trying hard but I won't use it as a complete basis to generalize the whole 'genre'. I mean hey, as long as they're singing something that Filipinos could relate to, then that's okay. There are OPM bands there who sound foreign and would sing songs that you've heard from foreign bands but I don't see anyone saying that they're not being original.

KPOP as you see were mostly derived from western pop music but I don't see Koreans whining about how 'unoriginal' it is. I mean ok there's a lot of plagiarism issues there and some ocassionaly whine about it but they don't dismiss it as rip-offs as  a whole.

Hindi ko lang talaga type yung mga members na mukhang Koreano lol pero XLR8 and Pop Girls actually have good to very good voices compared to most Kpop idols so that's more than OK to me.

Kung ayaw niyo sa kanila then shut up. Dapat nga maging proud pa kayo kasi Filipinos are creating their own wave. Give them the chance to prove to everyone na kaya nilang tapatan ang k-pop, j-pop, at kung anu-ano pang pop. :)

Sa ating mundo, wala ng original. Siguro alam niyo naman yun noh?! Well, I guess not since you bash and criticize others for not being original. Ikaw, all the time ba original lahat ng mga nagagawa mo? Magbigay ka nga ng isang bagay na original that still exists in this world? Kung wala kang masagot, I rest my case.

Siguro nga hindi Pilipino ang kanilang itsura pero hindi niyo ba na-realize na in their appearance, you will remember the history of the Philippines; how other countries invaded ours and how we adapted to different cultures. Hindi niyo ba naisip na through them, we can show to the world na kahit halo-halo na ang ating lahi ay malakas pa rin tayo by means of 'unity'. Alam niyo isa yan sa causes kung bakit hindi umuunlan ang ating music industry as well as our country. Hindi natin sinusuportahan ang mga atin.

Pero I agree na they still have a long way to go and that they need a new choreographer and stylist. ;D Tapos gusto ko gumawa sila ng bagong tune that will help them make an edge in the music industry or that will atleast give them their own image. Masyadong maliit yung lugar ng mv nila sa 'you're so hot'. Then when they sing, mas maganda siguro kung lagyan nila ng feelings/facial expresions yung mukha nila while singing para mas ma-feel ng taga-pakinig yung message na pinaparating nung song tsaka wag sana silang mag lip sync all the time. :)

Gusto ko rin sabihin na I support XLR8, basically p-pop, all the way. Laban XLR8! Laban p-pop! Laban Pinoy! Laban! [pero symepre fan parin ako ng k-pop; kaya ko kasi mahalin ang kanila at yung atin at the same time di gaya ng iba diyan] :D ;D :)

I get the point nung iba, pero nung una ko talagang narinig yung PPOP, the first thing that came to my mind was our OPM bands, parang Rivermaya, chicosci. Yun, hindi yung ganito. I think people wil accept PPOP more sana kung they sticked to original OPM. Di katulad ng ganito na their making everything inspired by KPOP, and other Asian music!

Possible, but for me? No.

Their songs are just aweful. Hello? Tag-Lish? Not cool. Okay pa sana if pure english or pure tagalog.. pero taglish? Ugh. Especially that XLR8 group? Masyadong obvious na trying hard sila. Siguro kung i-compare mo yung looks, mana pa. And the outfits, matatanggap ko pa. But when it comes to music? Naaah. No way.
Would you go all the way,
to be the one I'm looking for?

hmm sana nalang kasi kung gumawa sila ng goup dapat pagisipan muna nila yung disadvantages and advantages ng song nila or whatever. kasi nakakahiya kung kabagobago palang ng group eh nabansagan ng copy cat. tss

NO. stick to OPM nalang. mas maganda pa.

xlr8? mga mukhang taga ibang bansa. mukhang korean, japanese, american prng wala kang makikitang filipino dun eh.

pop girls? trying hard sa pananamit and such. annoying.

Let's support them. It's just that yung management, di pumipili ng mga PURE na Filipinos but it's ok for as long as di makakasira sa image ng country.
