Beta Endocia Chiron
A
beta reader (often shortened to beta) is a person who reads a written work, generally fiction, with what has been described as "a critical eye, with the aim of improving grammar, spelling, characterization, and general style of a story prior to its release to the general public."
A
beta reader, who may or may not be more personally known to the author, can serve as proofreader of spelling and grammar errors, or as a traditional editor, working on the "flow" of prose. In fiction, the beta might highlight plot holes or problems with continuity, characterisation, or believability; in both fiction and non-fiction, the beta might also assist the author with fact-checking.
Official Beta members:

Gellie (untamed77angel)
Lissy (lissy_14)
Jess (pretty_kikay)
Think of the betas as your editors: their critiques are not meant to attack you, rather, let their critiques motivate you to work harder and hone your writing skills. A beta speaks their mind, but not to the point of being rude. We, Beta Endocia Chiron, care about the authors in Creative Corner, and that's why we're here. Will we really spend our time and effort on doing something we are not passionate about?
DISCLAIMER:
- Our corrections/suggestions should not be taken personally. We prefer to be blunt rather than to sugarcoat things.
- Do not make this thread a lounge. You are free to post questions and recommendations, but refrain from posting personal query (i. e. Kamusta na po kayo?); each Beta reader has their own Who's Who thread.
- We are willing to give all the time and effort that we have but please do remember that we also have a life outside Teentalk.
- Remember, it takes one click for the reader to leave your story and forget it. Our job is to prevent them from doing that.
