Brand: M.A.C (MAC lovers thread!)
« on: June 01, 2009, 01:39:57 am »
Post away! Let's make this our official MAC thread! Spill here all you love (or maybe, hate) about MAC Cosmetics! :)

What are your favorite MAC products? And why do you love them?

- I'm super loving their eyeshadows. Has good pigment, buttery feel and sticks on your skin. The color pay- off is good as well. One pot will last you long!

- I am also an avid fan of their lipstick line. Pigment pay- off is great and it smells like vanilla. And the best part of all, I found my perfect red lippie, Russian Red.

- I also use their Studio Fix powder plus foundation. It's an instant fix after a long day and an oily face. :)

* Gel Liner- I love how smooth it goes, although my lid typically gets oily fast so the gel liner sometimes wears off...

*Concealer- Moisturecover- I use it for my under eyes. Since the consistency is liquidy, it isn't hard to blend and covers well.

               - Select Cover up w/ SPF 35: I really like this a lot. I have massive acne scars which are really red, and this one does the trick in minimizing the color of it. The consistency is very creamy and thick.

**** I have tried Mac Blot and some of their lip glasses, but not really a fan of them.

studio fix is 1500php. i've been using this for a year. the first time i used this, i fell in love with it! trying sff started my affair with mac.

the thing i love about studio fix is how it instantly refreshes your face. it has a creamy texture so unlike face powders, you won't have that chalky looking skin texture as opposed to using sff. under normal temperatures, this has lasting coverage. but with the scorching heat our country experiences during summer, it might last good enough but not long enough as compared to warm and cool places and countries. but overall, i'm loving this! it somehow hides my pores so my skin looks really flawless. and the best part, i don't have to apply foundation anymore because sff is partly foundation so you won't need to stuff your face with too much make- up.

i hope this helped you sis. but this is according to my experience. still, use every product with discretion. :)

A lot of the girls in girltalk are raving about the MAC Brushes. I'm planning to try one though but I find them to expensive. They don't sell sets kasi. I just bought a Nars set as my bday gift for myself. I tried the 190 (foundation brush) though. I must say it felt really sturdy and the application of my foundation is flawless. Hmm.. Maybe that's why it's expensive..:)

Anybody here using MAC brushes? :)

I have MAC Studio Fix Compact and I apply it using my kabuki brush instead of the sponge. I love how it makes my skin flawless and blemish free. I have yet to try Studio Fix Fluid, but this one offers heavier coverage which I don't prefer.

I also have Blacktrack, which is a gel eyeliner. It's easy to apply and doesn't smudge. I apply it using my MAC 208 brush, this brush is actually an angled brow brush but I this as my gel liner brush instead because it does the wonders.

It will always be worth it, to be with someone who knows your worth.Ü
