Everything looked real.
I was sitting by myself at the first row, watching him intently as he speak. He's as gorgeous as ever. Looking at him makes me so happy.
He suddenly looked at me and caught me looking at him, I felt myself blushed. But he didn't smile.
It was then that I knew I was dreaming, it's impossible for him to wear that long white robe-looking clothes. It's impossible that I'm by myself and he's so far from me. And it is really impossible that he is up there, at the aisle, not waiting for me like what I wanted, but talking to everyone.. Doing a homily.
He can't be.
“CHARLES!” My eyes were wet, it was blurry.
I was dreaming. That can't happen. Charles won't leave me. He promised.
He rushed to my side and hugged me, I was crying,
“Mayu..” he stroked my back many times,
“anong nanyari sayo? Bakit ka naiyak? Nightmare?”Nightmare. I nodded fervently.
“Promise me, you won't leave me. I can't.. I can't stand being away from you.” he hugged me tight and kissed my hair.
“Promise. Hindi kita iiwan. Hindi ako lalayo.”“What if.. what if you have to. What will you do.” I asked between my sobs.
He chuckled,
“Isasama kita sakin.” he smiled and helped me get up his bed,
“Wag ka ng umiyak. Hindi manyayari yang panaginip mo. Hindi naman kita iiwan, diba? Ano bang nanyari sa panaginip mo at nag iyak ka?”
“I don't want to say it. It's too painful.”Today, I became a coward. I can't even say to him a single part of my dream? Is this the payment for letting me stay with him the whole night? It wasn't my fault that it rained!
“Mayu? Nakikinig ka ba?”“Sorry.”He smiled,
“It's ok. Ano? Gusto mo na bang umuwi?”No. I don't want to. I want to stay here. I don't want to be far from him.
“I guess you don't want to go home.”He know me so well.
I ate my pancakes and stared at him, he was smiling,
“Why are you smiling?”He drank his milk and swallowed,
“Kung ayaw mong umuwi.. Paano mamaya? Hindi na tayo tutuloy?”What the heck.
“Then let's go shopping.” I smirked.
“Shopping? I don't think so. Wala kang susuot kundi uniform mo.” He smirked back.
“Fine. I'll go home.” I pouted.
“What time is it?”“Nine. Hindi na tayo makakapasok. Gusto mo sa inyo na lang tayo?” I beamed.
That dream is so not gonna happen.
“Where's my...clothes? Are they dry?”He walked with my clothes in his hands.
“Yep. Nung bubuksan ko na yung generator, biglang nagkaron ng kuryente. Edi nilagay ko na sa dryer mga damit mo. Taddah.” he handed me my clothes and smiled.
I took my clothes and gave him a peck,
“Thank you.” I ran to his room and changed. What will I do with his clothes now.
“What will I do to your clothes?”“Akin na. Ipapaframe ko.” he smiled. I laughed.
“Good joke.”“I'm not kidding.”“You're so weird. And I love you.”He kissed me,
“I know.” and smiled.
“Halika na, baka hindi na kita iuwi sa inyo nyan.” he threatened me and I smiled.
Fifteen minutes and we got to my house. Maids welcomed me. No parents. Quiet house. I miss his pad.
“Why can't we stay in your pad?” We're in my room, his using my computer and I'm trying to find the perfect shoes for my outfit. Which he have to approve.
“Kasi wala na tayong magagawa sa bahay ko. Bubuksan ko Facebook mo, nakaprogram naman yung email at password mo dito.”I came out from my closet and sat beside him,
“What are you looking for?” he was browsing the pictures in my profile.
He looked at me and smiled,
“Looking for my favorite face. Yung nakaganto ka na smile.” then he smiled like a kid. So I smile like a kid, huh.
“Hindi ka talaga mahilig ngumiti.” then he pinched my nose.
“Dapat palagi kang ngumiti.”“From now on. I'll smile if you want me too.” Then I smiled at him.
“No matter what. You have to smile. Yan na ang nagpapalakas sakin.”He opened his account and added me. Since we just met and we didn't talk about this stuff, he's not on my contacts. After adding me, he opened my account and approved his invite. Then he changed my status from single to in a relationship with him.
“Mayu, marami kang kaibigan, diba?” he asked while looking at my cellphone. He's in interogation mode.
“I have four friends. But I don't have a bestfriend, not even them. We're just friends because of our families. They're names are Cath, Sylvia, Maria, and Tania.” I looked at him, he was
surprised.“Apat lang kaibigan mo? Wow. Lamang lang ako sayo ng isa.” It was my turn to be surprised.
“Why? I know you're not friendly with the girls. But why do you only have five friends? Are they true friends?” he laughed,
“Nakakatuwa ka. Anyway, kami lang mga nagkakaintindihan eh. Sa school natin sila nag-aaral pero bihira pumasok. Nakipagsuntukan ako sa kanila nung elementary ako, grade 6. Tapos nung grade 7 na kami, nakita ko naman na nakikipag away silang lahat. Tamad na tamad ako kaya sumali ako sa away nila. Tumulong ako sa kanila. Syempre taob lahat ng kaaway namin! Simula nun naging magkakaibigan na kami.”I still feel shock when he talks too long. He's more of a one-sentence-guy. Plus the dact that he was into fights, like gangsters.
“Wow. You're bully before?” I asked in a teasing tone.
He smiled at me and nodded.
“Yun lang ang escape ko sa reality na kinokontrol ng magulang ko ang buhay ko. Grade 5 kasi nung pinilit ako ni mama magsakristan. Pero ngayon good boy na ako! Pagnakikita ko lang yung mga nakaaway ko dati, ayun, naghahamon sila ng away, syempre hindi ako natanggi.” My eyes bugged out after hearing his last sentence.
“Promise me you won't get into fights.” I grabbed his hand and held it tightly.
“Papano kapag papatayin nila ako? Anong gagawin ko?”“Then fight. Fight when the time is right. Not when you just want to.”“Ok. I love you. Promise hindi ako makikipag away kung hindi naman nila ako papatayin.” He giggled. It was so cute.
“I love you too. And never punch first. But don't let them punch you. Got that?”He nodded and kissed me.
It was already 5:00pm. He went home and said he'll pick me up at exactly nine. I told him I'll sleep first, he nodded and kissed my forehead. I was awaken by his call, it was dinner time according to him. My parents are still not home, so I ate by myself. I looked at my clock and almost fell off my bed when I saw what time it was. I have one and a half hour to get ready. I took a bath hurriedly and brushed my teeth fast but toroughly. I put on my clothes and shoes, I focused on putting my make up. I looked at myself on my full body mirror, checking for any imperfections. After being content on what I saw in my mirror, I went down to see if he already arrived.
He has arrived, all I can see is his back and yet I know that he looks gorgeous. My footsteps got louder as I hurried to touch him, he turned around to see me and smiled right after seeing me run down the stairs in my stilletos.
I can't take my eyes off him.
No words can describe him. It maybe exage, but it's true. His beauty can make me plain, I almost envied him. He's wearing a polo shirt, with a V-neck knitted fit shirt inside and khaki pants. I wonder why he looks fantastically gorgeous with simple clothes.
“Ang ganda naman ng mahal ko.” he smiled and it made me flush. Which is not a very easy thing to do.
I brushed his hair which is messed up in a neat way, it's weird and hot.
“And you look more beautiful. How dare you.” I lightly smacked his arm and smiled.
“Walang mas gaganda sayo.” he took my right hand and kissed it.
He brought a new car, I haven't seen this one, it was red, looks like a ferrari. Hot date and hot car. What more can I ask for?
“Umuwi si dad, regalo niya sakin.” He looked at me and smiled when he saw my curious look at the car.
“Why did he gave you a ferrari as a gift?” I paused as I thought of reasons why would a father give his son a ferrari. I only came up with one.
“It's not yet your birthday, right?”He laughed,
“Hindi pa. Malayo pa birthday ko. Ganon lang talaga yung tatay ko. Kung kailan at kung ano ang trip iregalo sakin, ireregalo niya.” I opened my mouth. He closed it.
He opened my door and I got in to his ferrari. I so love it! I want one too. While on our way to the party, I didn't stop on complimenting his ferrari. I even asked him to drive at 160kph rate just for fun, he just laughed at me and drove at 160kph. It was fun.
And because he drove at a 160kph rate. We arrived early. It was just 9:30pm.
We stayed inside his car. He texted his five friends, he said he wants me to meet them. After fifteen minutes, we got out of the car and I saw five tall guys walking towards us. I guessed they are his friends and I was right.
They handshaked like most boys do, they are all handsome, but Charles is the most. After handshaking with all his friends, he held my hand. His friends stared.
“Dude! Finally!” a guy exclaimed and clapped his hands. Charles and his friends laughed.
“Si Mayumi,” he smiled at me, then to his friends and continued,
“buhay ko.”He's friends cheered and I blushed, so as Charles.
“Tumigil na kayo. Over acting na. Magpakilala kayo kay Mayu.”They stopped cheering and laughing, the one who clapped his hands stepped forward to shake hands with me,
“Hi! I'm Justin.” I took his hand and he smiled, he's like a child.
Another one spoke,
“Marco, dude.” he smiled and I smiled back at him, Charles mock punched him. Maybe for calling me 'dude'.
“Xav,” he smiled and winked,
“Pag inaway ka ni Papi Charles, sabihin mo agad sakin ha.” I looked at Charles and smiled at Xav.
Charles' last two friends look similar. Too similar.
“Identical twins sila, Love.” Charles put his arm around my waist,
“Yoh! Magpakilala kayo kay Mayu. Oks lang sa kanya yan.”Don't they like me?
“Ako si Lucas, siya si Lucius. Pasensiya na, we don't like talking much.” His voice was shocking, it was like he's singing every word he said, he looks like a boy yet his voice is like a girls. It really is weird and
pretty.
“You understand now, right?” they both smiled and I did too.
Charles looked at me and smiled, I did the same. His friends teased us and he blushed which made them laughed. We went inside, a table was reserved for us.
“Mayu, anong gusto mong inumin?” he smiled at me, his friends are busy talking about boy stuffs. I smiled at him and answered,
“Strawberry Screwdriver, please.” he nodded and stood up.
When he was out of our sight, his friends looked at me in a weird way.
I looked at them and smiled,
“Why?” they grinned and moved closer to me.
“Mayumi, saan mo nakilala si Papi?” I want to laugh, Papi??
They were all waiting for my answer, even the twins.
“At school.” I answered with a smile again. Are they enterogating me?
Justine suddenly slapped his forehead,
“Sabi na nga ba! Papasok na ako ng school! Baka ako nauna kay Charles nakakilala sayo. What a regret!” we laughed and Justine smacked their heads.
“Lul! I don't think Mayumi will like you. By the way you're acting now, you look like an ass. Oh wait. You are an ass!” said Marco. They all laughed and Justine pouted in a manly way. Conyo guys.
After five minutes, Charles arrived with my drink in his hand, he sat beside me and gave it to me.
“Natagalan ba ako? May ginawa ba sayo tong mga to?” I shook my head and smiled to his friends,
“No. It's just fine.”Justine suddenly asked me,
“Bakit hindi ka nagtatagalog?” I took a sip before I answered,
“Because everyone I know -before I knew Charles- doesn't talk to me in tagalog. But I know how, I sometimes answer Charles in tagalog, but that is so random. Right?” I looked at Charles with a smile and he looks surprised,
“Are you ok?” I nudged him with my forearm.
“I'm ok. You're amazing.” then he smiled. I smiled too while his friends
howled.
We were having fun. Justine keeps on telling stories about Charles and they were funny. Like the time that Charles fell on the floor because Marco pulled his chair, then Charles tought it was Xav so he punched him, and then Xav punched Marco because it was supposed to be for him. After that, Charles asked, 'why are we fighting again?' so they all laughed.
After a few shots of tequilla, my head swam in dizziness, but I'm still conscious. Charles who already drank ten shots was still the same. No sign of drunkness, so as his friends. Drunk hards?
I put my head on Charles' shoulder and closed my eyes.
“You ok?” he asked and lift my face.
“Yeah. Just dizzy. But I'm ok. I swear.” Then I heard my favorite song, I feel like dancing,
“Infact, I'm so ok that I can dance.” I smiled at him and so did he.
“Sayaw lang kami.” He helped me stand up. I saw the boys stood up too, I guess they're also going to dance.
We were in the middle of the dancefloor, it was my first time to dance with him. I was already dancing while he's looking at me, I closed the space between us, then he started dancing.
Is there anything this guy can't do.
He put his hands around my waist, every part of my body made friction with him. I can't deny that he looks so sexy. Everyone made a circle around us, watching us. This is not the first time I've been encircled while dancing, but this is the first time I danced like this, trying to be dance like him. He's just so good that I can't help but smile. I can feel electricity coming from every touch of his hands.
After the first song, his friends danced with us. I knew that every girl in that club envied me. I danced with all of them and we were all laughing, having fun like I'm also their friend for a long time. I guess they are also my true friends now. They are all good dancers, but no one can be compared to Charles.
I twirled to face Charles, we're dancing.
“Thank you.” I locked my arms around his neck, wanting no space between us.
“This is the second best night I ever had.” he chuckled.
“What's the first?” he stroked my hair and kissed it,
“Yesterday?” I nodded and he hugged me tight.
He suddenly sighed and stroked my hair again,
“I so badly want to kiss you.” I laughed,
“Bakit ka natawa?” I looked at him and stroked his face,
“If you want to kiss me badly, then why don't you kiss me?”“Because I don't want to do it in a place like this. I respect you. Tara na.” He smiled at me and took my hand, we walked back to our table. He didn't kiss me, but I was melted deep within my core.
