Just like what Chris said, he arrived at Kim’s room in about 20 minutes. He rang the doorbell right away.Louis: I think that’s him.
Kim: Mm-hmm.Louis: Don’t be nervous. You’re beautiful, princess.
Kim: Thanks kuya! 
As the door swings open, Chris at the same time feels nervous, but when Kim already appeared, his nervousness was replaced by amazement. He wasn’t able to move, and his eyes were locked at the beautiful girl right in front of him.Kim: Chris?Chris: Oh! Sorry. You, you're stunning, Kim!Kim: Thank you!Chris: Are you ready?Kim: Yup! *looks at his mom and big brother*Mom: Go ahead, dear! Don’t be nervous.
Louis: Mom’s right. Don’t be nervous. Enjoy the night li’l sis!
Kim put her left hand on Chris’ arms as they walked to Chris’ car. After 30 minutes of travel, they finally arrive in Manila Grand Hotel. Dave, Gab, Baron, Chelsea, Ken, and Anne were already waiting for them inside the lobby. Minutes later, Matt also arrived with Trixie. Habang hindi pa nagsisimula, nag-picture taking muna sila sa labas ng ballroom. Here’s a picture of Trixie and Anne taken by Matt: (link)
At 6:00 pm, everybody was requested to be ready with their partners for their entrance to the grand ballroom.Chris: *whispers at Kim’s ear* Relax. You’re beautiful.Kim: Thank you, Chris. *smiles*Baron: Tara na, Chels!Chelsea: Okay!Baron: By the way, ang ganda mo!Chelsea: Sinabi mo na yan kanina!Baron: I can’t help it.Napansin ni Dave that Gab was feeling a little uneasy.Dave: You all right?Gab: Yeah.Dave: Let’s go. Everything’ll be fine! *offers his arms for Gab to hold*Gab: Wow, you’re actually sweet. Haha! Thanks, Dave. *smiles*Everybody who went inside the ballroom looks really gorgeous. It was an entrance for royalties. All have transformed from their school-looks to being princes and princesses tonight.
Natapos na ang dinner at ngayon, awarding ceremony naman. Pagkatapos bigyan ng awards ang juniors, it’s the seniors’ time to shine. Unang tinawag ang Star of the Night – Male at ito’y walang iba kundi si..Emcee: Mr. John David Lopez!
*applause from everyone*
Dave went up the stage with his eye-catching look. He was wearing black pants, white tie, yellow stripped vest, and a black suit.Emcee: The Star of the Night – Female award goes to... Gabby Eunice Naval!
Gab was escorted by Dave. The photographer took a picture of Gab on her way up the stage.Emcee: May we call on the winners of the Couple of the Night last year to please come up the stage.
With this announcement, umakyat sa stage sina Ken at Anne. Kapansin-pansin ang suot ni Ken na metallic silver pants and suit, black tie, and brown vest. They were called upon to give the Couple of the Night 2009 award to.. Baron and Chelsea! Umakyat sina Baron at Chelsea sa stage while holding hands. They both pose for their picture – Chelsea with her gold gown and Baron with his all black outfit accented with a silver tie.Emcee: Last but definitely not the least, the Prom Queen and King award! ‘Wag na nating patagalin. Our Prom King is... Mr. Chris Alwin Hernando!

No doubt, with Chris’ charm and appeal, he’d win this award. He went up the stage and posed for a solo picture.Emcee: Ladies and gentlemen, let me present to you, our Prom Queen.. Ms. Kimberly Gonzales!

Just like Chris, there is absolutely no question that Kim would win this award. Aside from her natural beauty, she showed up with a very elegant pink gown. This girl is perfect! They were awarded by Matt and Trixie, 2008’s Prom Prince and Prom Princess. Truly, Matt will forever be fancied by women because of his stylish outfit. After the awarding ceremony, the Prom Prince and Princess and the Prom King and Queen opened the dance floor for their first dance. Then eventually, the others joined them in the dance floor.
Pagkatapos ng ilang kanta, nilapitan ni Dave sina Kim at Chris.Dave: P’re, pwede ko bang mahiram yung best friend ko?Chris: Sure.Pinaubaya na muna niya si Kim kay Dave at sinamahan sina Ken at Anne sa table nila.Dave: Parang kailan lang ah. Last year, kabadong kabado ka pa kay Chris. Iniisip mo kung isasayaw ka niya. Ngayon, siya na yung first dance mo. At hindi lang yun, mahal na mahal ka na ni Chris! Ang bilis ng panahon noh?Kim: Oo nga eh. Parang kailan lang, naging kami. Tapos ngayon, aalis na agad siya. 
Dave: Oh, nalulungkot ka na naman! ‘Wag na muna yun ang isipin mo, bes. For now, just be happy and savour every moment with him. Hindi naman siya mawawala habambuhay eh.Kim: Pero kasi, ang tagal nun, bes.Dave: Tama na. Cheer up, okay? This is your night.Kim: Okay, I’ll try my best.After 2 songs, niyakap ni Dave ang kanyang best friend para kahit papano ay mapagaan ang loob niya. Dinala niya si Kim sa table nila at nakipag-kwentuhan muna saglit habang ang iba ay busy pa rin sa pag sayaw. After a few minutes, hinanap na ni Dave si Gab.Emcee: Last three songs! Enjoy the night, everyone!
Dave: Gab! Sayaw naman tayo ulit. Gab: Sure!Habang sumasayaw..Gab: Nasayaw mo na ba si Kim?Dave: Yup.Gab: Kamusta naman? Anong sabi niya sa’yo?Dave: Ayun, malungkot pa rin siya dahil aalis na si Chris. Sinubukan ko naman siyang pasayahin. I hope it worked.Gab: Yeah. Sana maging okay si Kim. Yung ibang girls ba nasayaw mo na rin?Dave: Yup. Kanina pa kita gustong makasayaw ulit kaya lang busy ka. Parati kang may kasayaw. Buti nga naka-tiyempo pa ko eh. Iba na talaga pag Star of the Night. 
Gab: Sus! Nagsalita ang hindi 
*moment of awkward silence*Gab: Oh, bakit natahimik ka?Dave: Well, there’s this girl whom I want to confess my feelings to tonight. Iniisip ko pa kung pano gagawin ng maayos.Gab: Really?! Sino? Bakit hindi ko ‘to alam?Dave: ‘Cause it’s supposed to be a surprise. Don’t worry, you’ll find out soon. Samantala, sa ‘di kalayuan..Kim: Kamusta ang Prom King?Chris: Eto, masaya kasama ang Prom Queen. Ikaw, kamusta ka naman?Kim: Eto, medyo pagod na kasasayaw.Chris: Prom Queen kasi eh! Haha. So ano, gusto mo na bang umupo?Kim: Nope. It’s okay, basta ikaw kasama ko. I want to cherish every moment with you before you go.Chris: Kim, I’m really sorry.Kim: It’s alright Chris, no need to explain. Naiintindihan ko naman na yan ang gusto ng parents mo para sa’yo.Chris: Thank you, Kim. Don’t worry. I promised you I’d come back, remember? Babalikan kita, Kim. Pangako.They continued dancing until it was the last song that was played.Chris: Kim, for you. *gives her a letter*Kim: Ano naman ‘to? Para saan?Chris: Just open it later. By the way, thank you for a wonderful night, Kim.Kim: Thank you too, Chris. *hugs him tightly*Moments before the song ended..Dave: Gab.. We’ve been best friends for quite some time already. And I know we made a treaty with Kim that best friends are not supposed to fall in love with each other but.. I really like you, Gab.Gab: *shocked* But, Dave.. We –Dave: Please give me a chance, Gab. I’m sure Kim would understand if we break the treaty. And besides, matagal na akong nagpaparamdam sa’yo. Alam ko namang napapansin mo yun.Gab: Dave, the truth is, I like you too. And our treaty with each other is the only thing that’s stopping me from loving you.Nagulat si Dave sa biglaan ding pag-confess ni Gabby ng feelings niya para sa kanya pero mas nangibabaw ang saya na naramdaman niya ngayong malaya na silang mahalin ang isa’t isa.^to be continued... ^
