ADD ADHD and other psychological problems

hey guys!
this thread is for those "problems" and stuff you know about it..
like cures, history etc.

honestly i have ADHD, which affects my studies and relaions with people.. what can i do to help myself? because i stopped on medcation months ago.. and i feel much better on it? thanks

yung brother ng friend ko may ADHD din. bigla na lang ata niyang sinusuntok friend ko so un lagi silang nagsusuntukan at nagaaway.

ako, tingin ko may psychological prob din ako, kasi, pag may problema ako, yun bang sobrang lungkot ko at emotional na ang sakit sakit ng nararamdaman ko, minsan sinusugatan ko sarili ko, i cut my wrist, using blade, but not to kill myself [medyo malayo sa pulso yung sinusugatan ko]. yung isa nga nagpermanent mark na, gigil na gigil kasi ako that time so napadiin.. ewan ko, parang gusto ko makaramdam ng physical pain whenever i feel too much emotional pain. sabi nga ng tita ko, magpatingin na raw ako sa psychologist.

its not what others say KSP, i mean i have friends

its being unfocused..with moodswings..its like a daily PMS minus the period.. they diagnosed it lng when i started getting low grades in school..
i also get paranoia attacks sometimes..and it runs in my family..being depressed..

but i have good medication for it thank God

Hi! I'm a psychology undergrad, and I took behavior problems in children and adolescence last sem. The best thing you can do is to see your doctor to ask what's the latest development about ADHD, and how can you benefit from it.
Anyway, why did you stop taking your medication? Also, consult someone from DepEd if there is specific law that protects your rights and needs. San ba location mo? Kasi dito sa amin, meron program for students who have special needs. Then, see officials in your schools and ask them what they can do to help you.

No, they are not KSP. Please be careful next time sa mga statement kasi sensitive issue to. May ibang papansin lang talaga pero yung iba may "problems" talaga na kahit ayaw nila yung feeling na ganun ay di macontrol yun dahil nasa pagfunction ng brain.

Only licensed professionals - therapist, counselors, psychologist or psychiatrist can tell what's your condition. So, pakisundan mo na lang yung payo ng auntie mo. They don't bite naman, so lapit ka na lang sa kanila. Kung wala kang budget, see your school's guidance counselor first. S/he might be able to help you.

my friend, i think she studied psychology and worked in a clinic, said i have manic depression ((: errr and i took those online psych exam, and there's a possibility na meron daw, hindi pa lng ako nakakapunta sa shrink ((:

^not all online psychology exam are reliable. Is she a licensed one to diagnose you already?

My brother has adhd and its not that they're ksp. Be careful when saying that to those who have this kind of behavioral problem. Many people kase di talaga naiintindihan ang adhd and mahirap talaga ang disorder na to. Yung brother ko sobrang kulit and napaka short ng attention span niya. Laging mababa grades niya kase di sya makapag-concentrate. Sis anong iniinom mong gamot for adhd? Yung brother ko kase ayaw na rin uminom ng gamot dahil masakit daw sa tiyan totoo ba yun?

^pasingit. yeah, ganyan talaga yung nangyayari sa kanila. depende sa "level" (di ko matandaan yung right term) nung adhd ng kapatid mo, trial and error kung anu yung mag-wowork. I suggest that you report the pain to the doctor para mapalitan yung gamot niya. what works for others might not work for your brother.

My nephew has adhd as diagnosed by their doctor and hes 5yrs old now. Grabe kasi hes uncontrollable at pag sinaway nagwawala as in itatapos ang lahat ng bagay sa paligid niya. He cant go to school kasi he cant relate to his classmates as in takbo ng takbo sa classroom, kaya he was pulled out of the class ng school administrator. Right now he has home based education, may set ang brother ko ng lahat ng materials on how to read and write. But the prob is until when sya ready to go to school. Sad kasi parang nafrustrate ang brother ko sa situation ng youngest kid nila.
