And I have been in a country where they are all white. Believe me, they envy us Asians not only because we have the skin colour na hindi maitim hindi rin uber puti but also we don't burn pag naarawan tayo (yes sometimes we do) pero sila kasi nagiging red lang pag naarawan, they don't tan. That's why they use tanning salons/booths or tanning lotions just to look tan (like Barbie sabi nila). And as what was mentioned from the previous comments, they are prone to skin cancer. We should be thankful that we're not prone to skin cancer at kahit mabilad tayo sa araw, bumabalik yung dati nating kulay, sila hindi - red tas white na agad.

I think it doesn't matter naman kung lighter or morena basta even toned and makinis yung skin, super pretty.

well it depends. may mga morena beauty din kasi. it all depends sa preference ng tao. like me i prefer people who have fair skin compared sa morena.

Nope! It's just the irony of life. People with light skin prefers dark skin and vice versa. We live in the Philippines na masses worship light skinned celebrities. Kaya mas madami sa mga pilipino gusto magpaputi. I know someone and she has american blood and she's so pale and gusto naman niya lagi magpa-tan. It's just a matter of personal preference but being lighter doesn't mean you're prettier.

I think it depends on what kind of look a person has or the image one wants to achieve.  I think cute to pretty faces can manage with either deep, medium, or light skin, as long as they have even skin tone and clear vibrant complexion. If one opts for a dolly look though (either the Asian or European doll look), light skin is stereotyped to work better for that image.  For friendly outgoing girls with a ray of sunshine wherever they go, I think they look best with neutral tan skin (neither too light nor to deep).  It gives the image that they are approachable and they are game for anything.  For intense super model looks (those with high cheekbones and high eyebrows, deep set eyes, etc.), I think glowing tanned skin (not the burnt deep color) is the best!  

Certain complexions can be suitable insofar an evident bloodline dictates.  If one has the looks of a Latina or a Black American, I think they should stick to their natural color because pale skin on them looks off and unnatural.  Asians can seem to manage any skin color as long as it doesn't give an overdone fake look, but fair yellow Chinese skin among my Chinese peers look perfectly fine on them.  ^_^  For the pure ladies who wish to go traditional and conservative, I always imagine them best with porcelain skin, like porcelain dolls with neutral/ expressionless faces all the time.  Although I love kayumanggi (is that right?)  skin on very tame, sweet girls who have the all time dalagang Filipina look, too.

I'm the quiet conservative type, so lighter skin it is for me, which is I'm born with.  My sister has a stronger and street smart personality and she has medium fair skin.  I think God gives us what we can work with best. Loving one's skin color is still the verdict in becoming prettier with it.

For some instances yes, people get easily attracted if you have a fair white skin. It's like a big plus, if you're white but morenas are beautiful too and it just shows that even if they don't have a fair white skin they're really beautiful. Some people who have white skin aren't as much as pretty if they get dark. Skin color isn't the basis of beauty being white just have a lot of advantages like having your hair colored any color you want because it goes perfectly on your skin tone. Right?

I think it depends. Just like what people are saying, We like to have a fair skin but those who have fair skin like to have a tan skin or the skin color we have. S

Sa napapansin ko ngayon, kapag maputi ka, masasabihan ka nang maganda. Pero para sa akin, depende sa tao yun. May mga babae kasi na hindi bagay sa kanilang maging maputi. Hindi na maganda tignan yun for me. Nakaka appreciate pa rin naman ako ng mga morena beauties. Pero aaminin ko, mas nakaka akit nga talaga kapag maputi ang babae. Yung tipong mapapatingin ka talaga, lalo na kung flawless pa.
