Chapter One

Elle’s POV

“Elle!”

I turned and saw Aidan half-walking, half-running towards me from the opposite side of what looked like a grass-covered field.

I smiled and waved at him to come faster.

“ELLE!” he said more loudly in an alarmed tone. I saw him speed up, but something strange was happening.

No matter how fast he appeared to be running, he seemed to be stuck. He was no nearer to me now than he had been earlier.
Scared, I went and started to run myself; pero kahit anong bilis ng takbo ko, wala pa rin…

“AIDAN!”


I woke with a start.
Panaginip lang pala.



Shoot it. Sarap na ng tulog ko eh!



I tried to get my water jug but—

*SCREEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEECH*




Whatthefuck?
The shrill screech of the brakes almost broke my eardrums.


My jug flew the entire length of the bus.

Anak ng tinapa naman oh.
Tumayo ako so I could get my jug, but I was thrown off balance.

Someone behind me screamed.

In horror, I realized the bus was swerving crazily left and right. The conductor and I were hanging on the metal railing for dear life—

















I looked at my seat, where, I saw, Denise was still mercifully asleep. I went to reach her—






































I was thrown forward with the force of a falling anvil, hitting my head on one of the metal rods. Disoriented, I heard a mighty crash, not sure if I had imagined it.

Everything was spinning.

With all the strength I could muster, tumayo ako. Everyone was either asleep, bleeding or knocked unconscious. Lumabas ako ng bus.

I couldn’t see a thing, except grass and a deep abyss just two or three meters away.

Scared, I went and quickly turned to the opposite direction. I saw the side of the road.

HELP!

I couldn’t speak, much less scream, for help.

The road was deserted, so even if I did manage to speak, no one will hear me.

And then, miraculously, a couple of bright, blinding lights appeared in the distance.
Trying to put one foot ahead of the other, I went and reached the side of the road.









HELP...

I think I saw the lights getting nearer, then stopped.
A tall figure materialized, then...









there was nothing but blackness.


Ria’s POV


“Psst, gising na.”

“Nasa Baguio na tayo?”

“Hinde, stop over. Pangasinan. Tara, bili tayo pagkain.”


I stood up and followed Aidan to the bus aisle.


“O, asan na si Liam?”

“Aba ewan ko, najejebs na siguro!”



Kumag na to.


“Wait, diba dapat pareho tayo ng stop nila Elle? Bakit tayo lang ang bus dito?”

“Na-traffic lang siguro.”

“Eh diba pareho lang yung daan? Nauna pa nga sila satin eh. ”


Aidan got his cellphone off his pocket.

“Text ko na lang.”
“Osige. O! Ayun pala si Liam o!”


Pinuntahan namin si Liam, who was standing in front of the customer service booth.


“Psst! Kumag!”

“Bakit ganun? Wala pa daw pasabi yung isang bus…”

“Eto nga, tinext ko na sina Elle. Mamaya lang sasagot na yun.”

“ARAY! ”

I was nearly thrown off balance as a woman came crashing right into me in her rush to get somewhere.


"GEEZ, what’s the big hurry? ”


I turned and saw where she had fixed her eyes; the tiny television set that was set at the far, upper corner of the crowded room. A news caster was looking crisp in his usual suit; while beside him was an image of a bus precariously hanging onto the edge of a cliff.

“SH1T. ”





















“—sinasabing naganap ang insidente ng ganap na alas sais ng gabi. Sa ngayon ay lima ang kritikal, at karamihan sa mga sugatan ay dinala sa San Carlos General Hospital—…”









It only took a second before the three of us raced back towards the bus, carrying all our stuff with us as we ran towards the highway…

With every fiber in our body, we prayed and racked the heavens in the hope that a cab would mercifully come our way at this time of night.

Guys! Susmarya, pasensya na kayo at medyo spontaneously written ang chapter one, nawawala kasi yung USB ko and I had to type this on the spot para matupad ang promise ko!

Sa mga nagtatanong kung nasaan sina Maffy, Jon at Rish, pasensya na kayo kasi hindi pa tapos yung mga promo poster nila at hindi ko na sila maisingit sa official poster kasi masyado ng crowded
Sina Rafael at Karissa naman… mmm, element of excitement na lang muna, parating pa lang sila

Ayun. Sana magustuhan niyo ang sequel ng story ko maraming maraming salamat!

Sino yung tall figure na yun saka ano na mangyayari kay Den? OMG! binasa ko ulit yung nakalagay sa page 1 yung kay Den saka kay Liam,pero wag naman sana katulad nung iniisip ko. Ate Katt nabitin ako,sana makapag-update ka na agad.
