okay, there's a difference between knowing there is a God and accepting that there is a God. even demons believe that there is a god and tremble with fear (james 2:19). most people have heard about Jesus but has rejected this teaching. there is no excuse because we have been told about him. and no, you can't go around bombing people and claim to be Christian.
This righteousness from God comes through faith in Jesus Christ to all who believe. There is no difference, for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, and are justified freely by his grace through the redemption that came by Christ Jesus. - Romans 3:22-24
No one who lives in him keeps on sinning. No one who continues to sin has either seen him or known him. - 1 John 3:6
if we claim to be Christians yet don't act accordingly, we're just fooling ourselves with our lies. faith should change us. God will work his way through anyone's heart as long as they accept Him into their lives.
Oh, im sorry, so, Winston Churchill, Harry Truman, and other non-pacifists in war time are all burning in hell right now? They did righteous action to bomb the hell out of Germany for their oppression in world war 2, not even counting Hiroshima and Nagasaki.
You may say "well the situation was different". Killing is killing my friend. The only difference is how you do it. Whether its done in self defense or offense. Like what I said to Francis, I am giving a perfect example of what christianity's religion promises, insincerity should not be the basis of your argument.
What I am pointing out is the weaknesses in faiths and religions. Along with the conflicts. Like what Francis and I have been bickering about for the past month or so ago, he's an intelligent catholic seminarian. I admit that, however, when considering the truth, his view is of the church, mine is the totality of all what exists as far as beliefs. Guess which is harder to understand?
You say that demons tremble in fear in face of God, and plus its based on the bible as you said, well, here's whats annoying me. If they fear God, they why did they participate in a revolt in the first place? God, in all his knowledge of time, space and being, could not even prevent a civil war from breaking out in his domain a long time ago. Kindly explain that?
