I wouldnt say that outright because everyone has a reason for doing things. Plus the vatican in its entirety isnt exactly a pure holy institution from the beginning. They have their fair share of dirty work worldwide, you and I just dont have the solid evidence nor the ability to prosecute.

i just recently read that the Vatican¹ is to pardon her immediately, even without trial.

Such humility, that the most powerful man on earth has the guts to forgive the people who have offended him.

I wouldnt say he's the most powerful man on earth. He MAY be the most influential, but he certainly isnt the most powerful.

What i categorize as the most powerful man is the person who can monopolize the cure for cancer, aids, and other incurable, degenerative diseases. He wont have a commitee to discuss who gets the treatment, just based on his sole whim. Isnt it great to have the power to choose who lives and who dies right on the palm of your hand?
