I cant advise you what exactly you can give him kasi hindi ko naman alam ung mga like ng bf mo. It depends kung ano ung alam mo na ma a appreciate niya and alam mo na magagamit niya. I'll share you my latest surprise gift for my bf. Actually this morning ko pa maibibigay sa kanya because were both at work right now. It is not a birthday gift. He was just promoted and it will be our 3 years and 9 months this wednesday. He was kind of frustrated because pol Medina had a book signingin kaninang 4pm at powerbooks Gbelt and pupunta sana siya kasi kailangan niyang pumunta ng ofc. So what i did it I went there and grab a book and let Pol signed it with a message of congratulations from him. I'm pretty sure he will like it kasi he is a Pugad baboy collector and he love books.

Try this - a journal about the two of you. Write something about how the day went for you both or keep something that would remind you of your dates together.. movie tickets, chocolate labels, or bus ride tickets and the like. I swear, this would bring the sweetest memories back and he would definitely smile knowing that you treasured all of these memories.

It's really important for you to know your boyfriend's interests.
In my case, I once gave my bf a book since he's into books. He liked it, and after niya mabasa, hiniram ko pa yung book hahahahaha! Research lang kung ano yung mga gusto ng bf mo, para mas maappreciate niya.. galing naman sayo eh.
