Deleting Members

With a statistic of 1105040 Posts in 7672 Topics by 112928 Members.
Imagine that, Candy probably have a huge database just for us!

Well, the reason why I posted this entry is because I think the Admins and Mods need to start deleting members. Members that are inactive, who just registered but never came back to post anything, and so on.

Nakakagulat and sad lang kasi na may mga users tayo with 0 post since they registered. Tapos yung date registered sila ay year 2004 or 2003 pa. Ayun lang, nasasayangan lang kasi ako sa space na nakukuha nun, not to mention, baka gumawa na din sila ulit ng bagong username dito.

So ayun. Suggestion ko lang yun.

problem is .. if they are using SQL data base servers ..

problems are..

1st is ofcourse tracing all the members that has 0 posts plus the date of their registration...

2nd is creating another disclaimer or rule for people who would register at candy mag...

3rd eh my personal reason is more work.. "katamad ka ;Dya yun hahahahaha LMAO" like ofcourse ilang MB lang naman isang member and if wala xang post the bytes wouldnt go up a notch.. thinking this is candy magazine they wouldn't have any problems regarding storage.. so i guess.. maybe thats the reason why they arent deleting accounts..

Madali lang icheck yun 0 posts or registration date sa members area.

Mods can't delete members so admins lang pwede makagawa nito.

hmm, i think the better thing to do is like yung sa e-mail..

for example, hindi sya nakapag-log ng for how many days parang nasa inactive mode sya.. at kung hindi na nya na update ule then automatic ng madedelete yung account nya..

baka kase dumating yung time na hindi na kayanin ng system.. sa sobrang dame ng laman nung database..

Yes, I agree. Deleting members who have been inactive for a LOOONG time already, should be deleted.

sissies, ulitin ko lang po yung request. sobrang dami na nga pong members.. sayang po yung mga username.. siguro dapat po, pag 2years or more na di na po active yung member, bigyan po ng notification. kung 2 months wala pa rin po, iautomatic deactivate na po.

saka pag kunwari po, may nagregister at 2 months di pa po nya cinoconfirm, deactivate nyo na po..

at sana di po pwede yung multiple accounts.. hehe! thanks

Agree, i suggested this before pero nadelete na yata. Lol. Sayang lang kasi eh, saka pwede pa gamitin yung usernames nila. Haha!

yup.. saka tulad ko, nag apply ako ng fourever na username, eh di ko na pala alam yung password nung gmail ko.. di ko maactivate kanina. kaya gumawa na lang ako ng bago..

^^this is a better suggestion.  it's important to send a notification first to the member (and wait for a reply) before deleting his/ her account.
