^ it is. rice is in our staple diet and a huge proportion of our calories should come from carbs.
60% carbs, 25% protein, 15% fat-- it may vary. nonetheless, carbs should provide the bulk.

...mataas kc ang glycemic index ng white rice...too much of it cud store as fat bec of the high G.I content nya...its true na papayat k tlga...its not nmn important na kumain ng rice e...pwede nmn mg wheat bread n lng or oatmeal pero since staple food ang rice sa mga pinoy, its so hard to give it up...
...if your planning to lose weight, wag biglaan...ikundisyon m muna ung self mo unti unti... dapt me phasing prang south beach diet...after a few weeks, hindi n hhnapin ng ktawan mo ang rice...i supplement mo ng wheat bread at oatmeal ang cabro mo...plus try hitting the gym...pero make sure na ggwin m un for your wellbeing at hindi pra lng mgpapayat

Ain't that a tad unhealthy? Rice is in the major food groups.

Americans dont eat rice. It's just that it's our staple food. There are lots of other sources of carbo, like potatoes and bread.

i cant take a no rice diet. what im doing now is eat rice only twice a day or even once a day if possible. i dont know if it will gonna work kasi i have nothing to do since vacation time dito and i dont exercise.

Used to. Pero the more I don't eat rice, the more I crave for it. So ang ginawa ko nalang instead is to lessen my rice intake :)
I take wheat bread instead of tasty bread din. :)

when we eat rice, we tend to eat more.  that's why it's good to stay away from it for awhile.  in the mean time, we can take our carbohydrates from squash, potato, oats or apple.

Siguro hindi naman kailangang totally walang rice, in moderation lang dapat ang kain, di naman siguro madadagdagan ang timbang mo agad sa konting rice..

ako lessena ang rice pero not totally wala talaga. okay to. effective to. pero mas maganda kung papalitan natin ng brown rice. need natin yun. :)

ako less rice lang. i eat rice for lunch, tapos onti lang for dinner. Hindi ko ata kaya kung no rice talaga. tska i'm hitting the gym eh. ok lang daw mag-rice sabi ng trainer ko, moderation lang.. no no ang empty calories and softdrinks  ;);D

ahaha. NO RICE = HUNGER STRIKE :)
sa ngaun ito ginagawa ku. pero nagririce aku twice a week.
then pag hindi OATMEAL && WHEAT BREAD w/ APPLE[with skin]
ang kinakain ko Lunch & Dinner pero tama lang.
i lost 6kgs in 5 days :) oha effective! :D
kaya ako nagaapple kase nacoconstipate aku.
hirap JUMEBS! :)) kaya kaen din kayo ng apple with skin
wag banana kase nakakatigas ng pupu un :)
share ku lang :)

Konting rice lang ang kinakain ko mga once o twice a day. Hindi ko kaya ang no rice diet. Hindi kasi ako nabubusog dyan. Sis, eat na lang kayo ng brown rice. May fiber yun kaya malalabas mo naman lahat ng toxins sa katawan.

i stopped eating rice march 2008

from 126 pounds, 112 nalang ako
pero meron yun boxing everyday nung summer and no chocolates din

i eat carbs though!
