The CS3 folder might still be there but the Photoshop application is no longer there since you installed it. Did you completely uninstall Photoshop?

Ah I see. What do you mean po na completely? Sorry.

You uninstalled it from Control Panel naman right?

Minsan kasi whenever we uninstall an application even if we have uninstalled it from our system, the application folder is still there.

exactly, and the reason it's still there is so in case you wanted to get photoshop back in your system, when you re-install it, you wouldnt have to look for the brush patterns, plug ins and other add-ons you downloaded for photoshop since it's already there. also, there will be times where a certain plug in/add on will not work for other versions of a program due to possible compatibility issues.

now, if you have two different folders for CS and CS3, you could try copying those files to the plug ins folder inside the CS/CS3 directory, fire up whatever other version of photoshop you still have installed and try if you can access those add-ons.

oh yeah, and another thing, *.dll files will always have the "no default program associated" icon since, well, theoretically, different .dll files will only work on the program that it was intended for.

Is it possible to add more RAM to a laptop? I like playing a couple of computer games, and sometimes my computer lags or displays the 'low on virtual memory' message. So, I thought the easiest solution was just to add more RAM, but then it's a laptop, so my dad says you can't add more RAM. I'm so confused! :P

Thanks waychraych about the anti-spyware thing. :P

It helped me on two problems: the Yahoo Messenger and the Firefox problems. I haven't tried out iTunes yet, but I will sooner or later. :D

yes you can upgrade your laptops ram ...
depends on your processor speed though and its slots...

complicated way on retrieving :

use magic recovery

easy way on retrieving :

reinstall the software

then before uninstalling photoshop copy the folder containing the add ons and the icons..

evryone
advice :

if your having virus problems , worms , malwares and adwares just download avast anti virus.. well even the free demo version works as magic...

reason:
on the first time you install avast it will restart your computer and have a full registry and hard drives scan of your computer... plus you dont need anti spywares or malwares to add on your computer for its an extra hassle for your ram to work on.. for avast does it all...

well there are many other kinds of protection ... avast is just the one that i use..

and hey dont install 2 diffrent anti virus on your computers cause it may sometimes cause problems like OS crash or the dreaded blue screen... and the sorts

Oh great. The closing YM window problem has been solved, but there's another problem. The IMs can't be read! Waaah. Even if I was the one who typed a message, there's nothing on the window. It should be something like this, right?

jeannicecream: Uy.
callmejeanne: Bakit?
jeannicecream: Kailan tayo pupunta ng TriNoma?

Pero walang lumalabas kahit ano, kahit 'yung Yahoo ID. Don't tell me 'yung kulay ng font (may nagsabi kasi eh. Hehe.) 'yun. Black lang ginamit ko. Hehe. So what could be causing this? Or what could be the solution for this?

there shoud either be a photoshop version number/CS/CS2/CS3 folder inside, depending on what versions you had installed. now copy your brush patterns/ plug ins to plug in folder inside the photoshop folder of the version you still have installed.

virtual memory isnt RAM, it's hard drive space. windows will grab a chunk of your hard drive space to compensate for low physical memory (RAM) and use that. programs wouldnt really know the difference and they will start, but you will know if it's using virtual memory because it runs slower since it has to access the disk every time you do something. now, if a program that's using virtual memory crashes, windows will still think that the virtual memory is still being used, so when you open another program, even the same one that crashed, it will give you the low on virtual memory message. this can also happen to poorly designed programs, beta releases for example. if this happens, press ctrl+alt+del to get into the task manager, go to the processes tab and terminate the program from there. then restart.

another thing to do that may alleviate the problem is to allow windows to automatically manage the virtual memory.

if you did that and still having problems, it's time to upgrade your RAM. for notebooks, look for SO-DIMM RAM, normal desktopp RAM wouldnt work because, well, it wouldnt fit.

"Virtual memory too low" message appears when you are running to many applications on your system at the same time or an application consumes a lot of memory and your RAM can't handle all the processes. Virtual memory is just a place to store data when the computer runs out of physical memory. Adding RAM to your laptop would help. :)

Once that message appears you can temporarily shut down applications that are using the memory. Press CTRL+ALT+DEL go to Task Manager > Processes then check what applications can you end for the moment.

Other possible solutions:
- Increase the size of paging file
- Set the size for your Virtual Memory or let Windows manage it (My Computer > Properties > Advanced Tab > Performance Settings > Advanced Tab > Virtual Memory Change > Choose System Managed Size > Set). Your PC will restart after doing this.

Do you know how to disinfect and or totally remove this?

Trojan program Trojan.BAT.Shutdown.bi
C:\WINDOWS\pc-off.bat

I've deleted it many times and yet it still appears everytime I open my PC and by the way I use Kaspersky AV v.6.
