You can just PM Niki for your answer so that others who are interested to answer the riddle will not see your answer, especially if it's correct. :)

Were you able to complete your attendance for the whole week? Yoh, YAYS coming!

this is supposed to be a classroom right? and if it's one, there should be students. and when there are students, there should be a muse right???  ;D :D

Queenbee! Nice to have you here. Unfortunately, the clan is not that established yet to have a set of officers plus muse & escort. Hahaha. Class organization eh. However important positions are already filled up. Thank goodness.

Yeah yeah, ;) I got the idea. Thanks for dropping by. Share your beauty and brains.

@ Val (kriell21)

Val, right? ^_^ We'll be waiting for your trivia.
Relax lang sis.
You take care on your way to Cavite.

Have a good rest and don't stress yourself. *Hugs kriell21* Hehehehe.

And I miss you...
Lol, walking dictionary. Got that title way back in high school. We are like fools playing word games during break time. Someone will give the meaning/synonym of the word plus the 1st letter and we'll guess it. I always win. ;)

Another walking term for me (whattaterm!)= "Walking Encyclopedia". Hahaha. OMG. Missing student life. T_T

T_T I can't relate to your trivia...T_T But thanks for sharing. Toni's with you.

@RAVEN:
yes, nosebleed mode. don't tell me you don't know that expression?? ??? well, just in case you don't know, that is usually the term, we Filipinos say when the person we are talking to is very good at speaking the english language that usually makes the person listening to them speechless. i don't want to embarass myself but you really made me speechless. i was in nosebleed mode the whole time. lol;D

i don't have to tell you my opinion already because isn't it i told you that "I agree with you". i also have the same perspective as yours regards to this issue [our brains unite! woohoo!].

two thumbs up for you, raven/marvin! i congratulate you for a job well done of being a guest in this clan.

Ah,I am familiar with the expression it's just that this is the first time I encountered someone who gave me the concrete and complete dictionary definition of the expression which I find impressive. Anyway, why did I made you feel speechless when you're an honor student? Don't get me wrong. I am just surprised because I can see that you also express yourself in the english vernacular well enough as well.

Ah yes,thank you for your support on my idea. I appreciate you for that. And yeah, we should get along with one another, we were born under the same sign.

Thanks again for the thumbs up! And thanks for dropping by at my thread!

Take care and have a nice day!:)

@ Raven Knives,
Off the way I'll go this weekend but I'll leave you with 5 questions;
1. What's your take on street children, not necessarily begging but just trying to persuade you to buy what they are selling? Who's to blame?

2. Do you have your own set of supertitious belief? Name some.

3. Are you a nature lover? What scene do you love most and why?

4. Define 'good' breeding.

5. What makes a good girlfriend?

Thank you.

Wee. I finally found someone who loves Broadway as well.
Will you watch Lea Salonga's Cinderella on CCP?
I'll never miss that show. I just love Cinderella and Lea!

Are you kidding?!  BROADWAY MUSICAL PLAYS = LOVE

I'm not much of a Lea fan but my Theatre 10 classmate won tickets for that haha.

^HAHA good idea, gurl. i like that.  ;) okay, i'll suggest that to Liz.

@LIZZY:
oh sure. thankies!

i have a suggestion. why don't we create a muse, the heartthrobs, the musikeros, the emo, the good girl, etc. in this mini-university aside from students and professors?

i was inspired to have such thing because of Casey. a teentalker who dropped by in this thread. hey, have you read her post regards to it?

does that sound interesting for you? ^-^

Honestly, i don't have any medals or trophies in my house as proof that i am an honor student. just certificates. i still don't consider myself an honor student because the only thing i receive from the fruit of my efforts are "papers" ONLY. sad. :(

by the way, i want you to know that we are only THREE people in my level. Why? because my school is just new. you know what. last schoolyear, when i was still a sophomore, i had NO classmates. just me, myself and I. it's such a weird feeling to experience being the "only one" last year. that is very rare among students and schools. ;D

5. What makes a good girlfriend?

Hi there Liz! How are you? Anyway let me share my thoughts:

1. With regards to street children, if there would be anyone to blame for their difficulties in life, it would be the parents who brought them here and that is because for the reason that they were not being responsible parents who'se only concern is to slack off though what can you expect from uneducated breedless individuals that does not have any decent homes? If the parents had at least considered the fact that having children is a big responsibility and are responsible enough to stand up for THAT responsibility then it would at least lower the percentage of children having to stay outdoors to find livelyhood if not to absolutely eliminate THAT factor.

2. As for superstitious belief well, hmm, I am not really particular about it but if there's one that I think I'd say one that it would be that whenever I tend to have an accesory shattered or broken, I might end up getting sick and or when the time comes that my personal mug at home gets broken, then maybe, just maybe I'd die at that time or meet my end. I don't know. =)

3. Am I nature lover? Just fine enough. I do love and appreciate the beauty of nature. The sakura petals, the blossoming flowers, the windy autumn, a full rainbow and the like. And of course, I love animals, especially rabbits and cats. Well, there's this scene that I appreciate that happened just a few days ago while I was in an LRT heading Buendia when I saw a rainbow. You see, I rarely see one nowadays and another wherein I was standing underneath trees wherein their dried leaves are gradually falling down on the road where I was standing due to the strong winds. If the leaves where from a sakura tree then I am sure it would be a great scene!

4. Good breeding means you have good manners and you know AND PRACTICE RIGHT CONDUCT AND ETIQUETTE and know WHEN TO BEHAVE ACCORDING TO WHAT THE ENVIRONMENT DICTATES. It is not enough that you KNOW each one but it is important that you practice it. It is knowing what to say, how to say it, and when to say something  and how to behave depending on the situation, people whom you're with and the place and what should be expected of you. Good breeding also goes as far as being an accomodating host to visitors and how to make them feel at home and giving what is due to them as guests of the household wherein at the same time, you're NOT sacrificing your obligations and what's to be done right away.

5. A good girlfriend? For me, a good girlfriend is someone who is a good provider, someone who understands a person's needs, and knows when and how to satisfy it and also someone who knows how to empathize and not just understand her partners needs and emotion. Someone who could connect with her partner in a deeper sense regardless of their difference. But then again, that's the idealism.

Overall, a good girlfriend is someone who, despite her flaws and shortcomings, is still determined to satisfy her guy and to make her guy feel that he is loved. Don't mistake it for martyrdom but rather, it is when she knows what she is capable of and not capable of but still stand up to be like one.

In simple terms, she is someone who knows how to make her guy happy regardless of who she is and what she is.

I hope I was able to enlighten you! Take care and have a nice day! :)

Those are a LOT of expectations! I get the impression that you want her to serve you. ???

Anyway,

Sorry I was absent yesterday. I got busy with my org in school. But I seriously loved it, I love the responsibility especially since I have an inspiration to give my all. They already call me E mc squared over there, because of Mariah Carey's new album and her old album the Emancipation of Mimi, which happens to be my name nga. Connect the dots. :P

I have a question relating to the way members fill up forms... The query of the form is WHAT DO PEOPLE SAY ABOUT YOU BEING INTELLIGENT? And it's annoying that a lot of the answers to that question resembled... bragging about your achievements. I don't know. It just bugs me.

~~~~~~~~
The longest word in English is the scientific name of Titin, the largest known protein. It has 189,819 letters. Click here to find out what it is. :) Actually, it is still disputed whether it is actually a word, but whatever. It's still trivia.
Me also eh. When I was filling up the form, I also had that kind of feeling. But you know what, Mimi. I realized something. Maybe that is also Liz's question to test you on how humble you are and maybe to see your "real" personality. IF you are the type who is bossy or over-confident, normally, you would say every single achievement you had in life. But when you have this down-to-earth personality, you will humble down yourselves and just say things that aren't too boastful to hear.
I don't like that question, to be honest.  And I do have trouble accepting compliments along the lines of, "Wow, ang galing/talino mo naman".  Don't get me wrong, I appreciate them but... I mean, how are you supposed to react to that without coming across as "mayabang/mahangin"?
For me, the question I try to avoid as much as I can is, "Saan ka nag-aaral?"  People DO have this pre-conceived notion about UP students.  And to tell you the truth, not all of them are correct.  It makes me uncomfortable when people assume stuff about another based on where they study.  Makes me uncomfortable, is all.
I guess the best thing to do as of now is to be open and be a "sport" once we are exposed to that question. Let's be "game" to it though there is this feeling that makes us uncomfortable.
Okay, I have something in mind right now. Have you ever thought that that question is a personality test? You know, Liz is brilliant and clever. She might have thought of putting that question in our forms to be able to see our "REAL" personality. If for example, an applicant answers that question, Liz can already identify if that person is bossy and/or overconfident on how he/she will respond to that question. Get it? Let's say, the person is quite "mayabang". He/she will put every single achievement he/she achieved in his/her life once she was asked to answer that kind of question. You can see it by his/her choice of words. On the other hand, if the person is humble, she won't put anything that are too bossy to the ears. He/she will simplify every great thing that he/she achieved in his/her life.
I also realized something. The question, WHAT DO PEOPLE SAY ABOUT YOU BEING INTELLIGENT is actually not a question AT ALL. It is a Personality/"REAL" Identity test on who and what you really are as a person.
^ True.  But on the flipside, how can you "tone down" (in any way) your achievements, no matter how many or prestigious they are?
For example, you are asked by a friend's mom what place you held at the honor roll.  In the smallest voice you can find, you say, "Third honor po."  And you'd still get the same, "Wow, ang galing mo naman," response, even if it's commonplace to you, being in the top positions.  (But then again, it depends on the nanay if she's "used to that" or kung ganun din ang anak niya.  Aforementioned situation is based on a true story from a classmate.)
Simply enumerating achievements can come across differently to different people, I guess.  I remember watching a TV show and one of the characters give a list of his achievements in the most nonchalant way, "Oh sure, I was the captain of the football team, president of the Drama Club, Journalist of the Year in junior high, voted Most Likely to Succeed in Homecoming, and uh yeah, graduated Salutatorian."  The other characters (and the script haha) acted impressed.  But my friend who was watching with me was slightly taken aback saying, "Ang yabang naman niya."  Why?  Idk, maybe he's just comfortable with his achievements, proud of them even, that his confidence comes across as arrogance to other people.
Good question. Yes, you're right. I think that depends on the person. Its either these people praise you or take it in a negative way. Maybe the best thing to do now is to avoid that question at all costs. haha
Just kidding. Our intelligence is a gift from God so we should use it well and be PROUD of it. When I say be PROUD of it, show and share it to the world that God-givent talent He gave you which is your wit. Do not be ashamed of it because it is something to be really be proud of, right? On the other hand, you also need to tone down because there are some who are overconfident that they already tend to be too bossy in the eyes of many people. If that's the case, that is using your talent in the wrong way. I think the main point here is to be proud of your God-given intelligence in a good way but making sure that you will still remain humble no matter how great your achievements are.
^ Upon fertilization, the sperm and the ovum (two cells) fuse together to form one cell -- zygote, which is a diploid (have two complete sets of chromosomes) cell, notice the singular form haha.
It takes about half an hour for it to do it's thing.
