Tampons

my first time was horrific. i was at a beach trip with my family. i was the only one who couldn't get in the water because of my . , so my mom bought me a box of tampons. it was the one with the unfriendly cardboard applicator (yeeowwchh!)  it hurt so much and traumatized me.. it was, i guess, successful but let me just say that was the worse beach trip ever.. lol!

but then i learned there were other types and i found playtex's smooth glide (??) tampons, those were such a breeze to use. successful first time

First time I tried these were just cuz I had to. We were at a mall, tapos dinatnan ako, then wala akong dalang spare, even my mom or my sister. And the nearest drugstore was too far. The only one I could get to was that lil vending machine thingy that dispenses pads and tampons for a fifty cents. Eh ubos yung pads nila. So yun.

It was kinda weird, I didn't know what to do, how to put it in and all that. It felt weird so as soon as we found a drugstore I bought a pack of pads and changed.

Second time I used tampons was just on my recent period. Summer so madalas na may outing and swimming, then it just so happens that we're going to a waterpark on my third day bleeding. Ayoko namang mag-miss out so I tried using them, the legit decent tampons that cost $9 for 40, Tampax Pearl. Tried it on my first day para naman masanay ako kahit papaano. Honestly, it wasn't so bad It was in a plastic applicator which I think was amazing, the insertion kinda hurt a bit but once I took out the applicator, parang wala namang tampon.

Since then, tampons na gamit ko. Sa gabi nalang ako gumagamit ng pads, saka kapag light na yung flow. Oh and I tend to switch tampons every 4-6 hours, like I would for a pad. I heard it's healthier and more hygienic that way.

I was so used to wearing pads since I started my period when I was 12. But I started wearing tampons regularly nung last period ko lang. Dati I tried wearing tampons -due to mandatory swimming classes- pero never akong nag-stick sa kanila kasi nga masyadong masakit and lagi akong kinakabahan pag tinatry ko sila! Nung una ko nga silang ginamit, muntik na akong mahimatay! Sobrang kaba ko, I swear! Nung isang beses nga tinanong ko pa yung Health teacher ko kung hindi ba lulutang sa pool yung tampon ko! hahaha. That just shows how clueless I was when it came to tampons. But yeah anyhow, now that I've tried tampons, I guarantee you that they're wayy better than pads. Kasi diba kapag nakapads ka, parang nakadiaper? Pero kapag tampons, you would'nt even feel like you're on your period. Sobrang comfortable sya kapag tama yung pagpasok mo. Yes masakit at first, pero you get the hang of it! Btw, I tried Tampax Pearl but it just didn't work for me. I perfer Playtex Gentle Glide or Playtex Sport!

gusto kong i-try to but I'm really really nervous, baka kasi masakit tapos hindi na maalis..!!
