TRIVIA in vampire folklore, a child born from a human and a vampire is called a "dhampir". dhampirs have the power to spot vampires & hunt them.
Stephanie Meyer's series is really a hit among 'teens', since super duper na iinlove sila kay Edward Cullen. (: But I haven't read the book tho. Hahaha. Mamaya ako rin pala. Yeesh.
Nice update.
Whaaa-- How'd that letter get there?? @___@
I'm no fan of Horror Novels, but this is good. (: Haha xD I have no problem with people who like Twilight, but I'm annoyed at people who are obsessed with Edward (I'm getting ready for the boo's!).
Secreto na yun ni Batman

V. NO ESCAPING YOUR SINS;;“i can smell your blood my love, but i can’t taste it yet.” – conjure me, the afghan whigs
“
Ate, why don’t you join me?”
Such a sweet angel.“
Freddy? I’m sorry Freddy, I didn’t mean to...”
“
I know,” he smiled. He held out a hand to her, and she saw that his wound was still open. She could see the torn muscles where his hand was skinned. “
You can have more if you want anyway. Siblings share.”
------------------------------
Celia awoke with a start. She was sweating and crying. She climbed out of bed and saw Fr. Matthias preparing coffee in the dinner table.
How would he taste? She shook her head. She hated how she couldn’t help thinking about blood. The blood that she was given tasted good enough, but it wasn’t fresh. And she wasn’t fed every day. As time passed, her craving for blood increased.
She sat down and saw iron supplements scattered across the table.
“
Are you anemic, Father?” She asked.
Screw it. Even talking about blood is making me hungry.“
No, this isn’t for me. It’s for Damien.”
“
Huh? That’s strange. He doesn’t look pale or weak.”
“
He’s where your blood comes from.”
The girl felt her face grow hot.
Stupid. Where else could the blood have come from? Fr. Matthias looked old and didn’t seem like her was capable of losing blood. Damien was in the prime of youth’s vigour. And it was not like the old priest could just take home blood from the blood bank. She cursed her stupidity.
I didn’t know... even after the way I treat him, he’s still willing to do this...Damien emerged from the bathroom, a vial of blood in his hand. He looked away, embarrassed.
To be caught letting an unholy creature live, to be caught giving her his life...
...but maybe she wasn't a monster.
Slowly, he was beginning to see that she was a good person in bad circumstances.Fr. Matthias cleared his throat. “
I asked for a meeting with Mr. Ferrer. It’s set about a week from now.”
The girl looked at the floor. She was worried about the priest. What if anything bad happened to him? It was going to be her fault for telling him about it in the first place. If she didn’t do anything, it would still be her fault for not telling him. The way she saw it, whatever she did was wrong. It was like her very existence was a sin.
“
Father... couldn’t you just... tell the police? Please?”
He shook his head. “
Then I would have to inform them about you. And even then, we have no assurance that his money and influence cannot get him out of trouble. The best way is to talk to him, man to man, and try to appeal to his good nature.”
She was pretty sure he didn't have a good nature.
And was he even a man?
Celia and Damien had agreed not to tell the priest about the note. It would only trouble him if he knew. But since that night, Damien had been coming over more frequently. He didn’t want to leave his two friends alone.
The deacon was silent. He spoke. “
I can accompany you, Father. Please, let me.”
What is it with those two? Matthias thought. Why were they so afraid? It wasn’t like Ferrer could do anything in broad daylight... right?
“
I’m sorry, my boy. I already told him that I wanted to talk to him alone. I wouldn’t want to break a promise.”
The boy looked away, his brows furrowed in thought. He handed a small glass to Celia.
Blood. The girl had almost forgotten how hungry she was.
“
Thank you.”
------------------------------
The girl had an unsettling effect on him. He had vowed not to think of her as a human, but she had shown him that she still had a conscience. He had vowed not to pity her, but he was failing at that, too. She had disturbed his sheltered world, and he wasn’t sure if he liked it or if he hated it.
It embarrassed him when Celia had seen him with her dinner. The idea had disgusted him at first. He told himself that he was only doing it for Fr. Matthias, but he wasn’t so sure now.
He looked at the girl, who was sitting quietly. She was waiting for the priest to come back, waiting for news of her parents. Something didn’t seem right. She was pale and trembling.
“
Celia? What’s wrong?”
She looked up. “
N-nothing... it’s just that I get hungry sometimes.” Her eyes widened when she saw the deacon’s neck, excited by the thought that life pulsed behind his collar. “
But I just ignore it and it passes, eventually.”
What a terrible liar. She’s been like that for days.Sighing, he opened a drawer and took a syringe. He felt for a vein and drew blood skilfully.
“
You don’t have to do this,” Celia said, her voice faltering.
“
You’re dense, aren’t you? You’re my responsibility now,” he said. He poured the liquid into a shotglass and gave it to Celia.
She drank it wordlessly, her heart hammering in her chest.
More. She wanted more.
“
I’m sorry...” Blood was still on her lips. She didn’t want anyone to see her like this. She wiped her mouth with the back of her hand and stared at the smudge of blood it left. She wanted to lick her hand, drink the blood to the very last drop, but her pride wouldn’t allow it. Not in front of Damien.
As if sensing her thoughts, he spoke. “
Do you want more?”
She nodded in shame, unable to help herself. He took another syringe but changed his mind. He took a knife from the cupboard. Celia watched in shock when he placed a bowl under his forearm and made an incision.
Damn damn damn damn why is he doing thisCelia couldn’t think straight, or even breathe. The sight of blood was impairing her judgment. She took his arm, not minding the bowl, and caught the blood with her mouth. In the haze of feeding, she was sober enough to take care not to bite the deacon. She heard Damien groan.
(censored for language : P )! She jumped away. Had she taken too much? The boy was pale, but it didn’t look like he was going to pass out. Pressing a hand towel atop his cut, she was angry.
“
You shouldn’t have done that.”
“
What should I have done, then? You were going to die.”
“
I could have killed you.”
“
And you think I can live with it if I let you die?” The comment was supposed to be friendly, but it pierced her.
“
You don’t understand. I don’t want to be like this!”
Damien stared at her before closing his eyes.
Only for a second. He was dizzy from the blood loss.
Wiping her hand on the towel, she took her hat and walked out the door.
When the boy opened his eyes, the girl was gone. He cursed under his breath.
------------------------------
Why did he have to do it? Celia thought.
Why not just let me die? Then they won’t have to worry about me anymore. She could still taste Damien’s blood. Taken fresh, it was delicious. She laughed bitterly, thinking that the only thing she needed now was to come across Lucian to make her life completely miserable.
“
Good evening, Lilith.”
Lucian was beside her, walking along at her pace.
“
...why are you here? You’re not human, aren’t you?”
“
No, I’m not.”
She hated and feared him, but at least he was someone who could understand her.
“
Why don’t we sit down for a chat, Lilith? The night is young.”
