He’s coming back!” I told Julia with excitement. It was as if my eyes were glowing because of the news that I’ve heard.
Dyle’s coming back. My childhood best friend’s coming back! Well, he and his family migrated to States after our elementary graduation… a

Wag naman masyadong obsessed, dear. Hindi naman kagandahan iyon eh. Palibhasa, Amboy eh.” Well, every time I talk to her about Dyle she always goes against me. They’re close friends too… kasi classmates sila for 4 years eh, and we weren’t classmates then because
I belonged in section A at sila naman eh, B. Nyahaha.
Nalipat kasi si Dyle sa section B nung grade 3 eh, masyadong late palage. HAHA. Ayun, bumaba ‘yung grades. “
And yeah, I’ll be seeing you later…” Her face immediately went pale and then her voice was so faint and so weak. I looked at her, and I elbowed her.

Are you okay?” Tinaasan ko siya ng kilay. She gave me a small smile. Weirdo ‘tong Julia na ‘to eh. “
You look pale… and your eyes… why so puffy? You cried so much—” She cut me off by giving me a glare. Tapos yumuko na siya, then nabitawan niya yung mineral bottle na hinahawakan niya. Men, she must really be hurting.
The break up should’ve caused her to be like this. Makita ko lang yung Denis na yun, humanda siya. He took away my best friend’s care-free and happy spirit. “

Paalis na sana ako para sugurin ‘yung walang hiyang lalakeng yun, ngunit napatigil ako sa kanyang sigaw.

I missed you!” He hugged me, and then nag beso-beso kami. Ang saya diba? HAHA. I hugged him and then he lifted my chin up, tapos nag-eye to eye kami for almost 2 minutes. He was looking at my eyes, then… down my lips, and then my eyes again… then I did the same… our lips were only an inch away from each other… So I decided to break the ice until something happens.

You’re so beautiful na ha?! HAHA. Ano, kamusta ang States? Sino naman ‘yung girl friend mo??” Bumitaw na ako sa pag yakap sa kanya, then I said that hesitantly.
He placed both hands in his pocket tapos inayos niya ‘yung cap niya.
“Well, I don’t. And I’m not looking.” I pointed at him using my index finger, tapos tinignan ko siya mula ulo hangang paa, siya?! Walang girlfriend?! Sino bang niloko niya?? HAHA!

I wiped the side of my face, and then tinignan ko iyong kamay ko to find out if may dumi nga ba, pero wala naman. I tried it on the opposite side, then the result was the same. Tapos nun, I ended up raising my left eyebrow giving him that

You’re so cute, Eane.” He smiled, then he looked at the screen of the camera and showed me my picture. “
You’re right… you’re not photogenic.” He whispered. It kinda touched my ego. Oo, alam ko naming hindi ako photogenic, bakit kailangan—I stopped from complaining in my thoughts when I heard him say something that really made me blush.

Know why you’re not photogenic?” He turned to me, and then he looked back at the screen, then he looked at me again. “
Photogenic people aren’t good looking people in person. And the un-photogenic ones… are those who are beautiful, Eane.” My eyes widened, and then he stared at me and smile. “
You’re not photogenic because the camera is jealous of your beauty that’s why the photo doesn’t really turn out in a good way.”

HAHAHAHAHA! BUHAHAHA! MWAHAHAHA! AHEHEHE…BWISET! Pinapakilig ako neto. Tsssss. What a friggin lie. Tumigin ako sa bintana para tignan kung malapit na kami sa bahay, so… I had to look pass through him to see the window… kasi ‘yung bahay namin nasa side niya banda, so I felt a bit nervous.
