Well here are the great feature of blackberry pearl.
- it's compact and can easily fit into a pants pocket, etc!
- you can watch video (through youtube, well I've only used youtube)
- the screen light adjusts. I can even text even when it's so sunny and bright.  -it has a map
- I can customize it.
- it has a slot for a memory card so I can take all the vidoes, pictures I want.
- notepad is great too.
- calendar can be by hours (great for reminders of appointments), by day, by week, or by month.
- when you purchase a pearl you instantly get a bluetooh, car charger, and a protective cover!

My mom has one and it's really beautiful. Ha! Ha! I'm thinking of buying one for myself, but in a way I think like IPhones much better.

^I haven't really tried using it 'cause it's an old model here in the US, but if it's a blackberry, it's usually very handy. It's like you have a personal assistant holding all your schedules, tasks, and notes...
