^i have a laptop na I use 24/7 for the past 2 years na.. as in i bring it to school and stuff, one time i even dropped it while it was in my back pack.. yun lang nga, since I use it for pretty much everything, kelangan ko ng malaking external hard drive so it wouldn't be too slow.. but other than that ok naman laptop 24/7

Advantages Of Laptop:
1) More convenient
2) It makes your life easier
3) Portable eh kaya pwede mong dalhin anywhere
4) Mas madaling magtago sa parents pag overtime na yung pagcocomp~! Hahaha~! Joke^-^~!

Disadvantages of Laptop:
1) Nalolowbat.
2) Expensive.

Advantage of Desktop:
1) It makes me honest. Haha! (Sa case ko lang^^)

Disadvantage of Desktop
1) Hindi portable. Di mo naman pwwedeng ibitbit bitbit yung PC~! That wouldnt look good, manakawan kapa~!
What I dont understand is, how do other people manage to pack so lightly? You see business people of the time, striding onto planes with only a tiny shoe-box suitcase on wheels. How do they do it? Do they have magic shrinking clothes?! If yes, give me!

I prefer laptops. I use to travel between Philippines and Taiwan twice a year and I felt incomplete without my laptop. (un nga lang may paga-mabigat ung laptop ko kaya kinabukasan ng pagbi-bitbit ko ang sakit ng shoulders ko.. hahaha...)

Advantages of Desktop

1. Power, Power, and definitely power! (Core I7 quads, Quad Cores, and Core 2 Extreme)
2. Definitely better for high end gaming (thanks to SLI graphics cards)
3. can easily place a solid state drive for faster loading
4. Very easy to replace parts and upgrade

Disadvantages
1. Bulky (except mac minis)
2. with great power comes great electricity bills
3. depending on setup, some can get really noisy

Advantages of laptops
1. Mobility
2. has some models with really good processors (Quads)

Disadvantages
1. not all user replacable parts (except HD, battery & RAM)
2. can run hot
3. Batteries are only worth 3~5 hours at most
4. Non-upgradable parts (except HD, Battery and RAM in most cases)

I would get a good desktop for all my major work, and get a laptop for everything else.

Nagtravel ako to philippines a week ago, dala ko lang mac air dahil magaan. just in case i need to lookup information

You shall not look through my eyes either nor take things from me

ang Laptop: it was made for portability..but the upgrade of the hardwares are limited..u can't upgrade all the spec..in games...some might work some may not..limited din.

while a Desktop: required at home..Best for upgrades..u can easily upgrade hardwares..expand the hardisk..add ram, change the video card etc....best in games..it can store games as many as u want based on ur hardisk capability.

For durability, power, and maintenance (hardware upgrade/repair) i prefer desktop and easy to modify pa sya. Pero when you need mobility syempre laptop.
