***Samantha's POV***We finally stopped playing—especially since we both are feeling
tired. Stepping out of the shop, I gladly took a seat on a nearby bench with this big dinosaur character standing on the side of it.
Luke did a couple of stretches,
“Now that was a great breather!”“Sure is!” I agreed earnestly.
He stopped moving and eyed me for a while.
“What?” I asked awkwardly.
“You look incredibly cute, sitting beside that dinosaur. Damn, I should have brought a camera.” He shook his head,
“No wait… you’re not just cute. You looked damn gorgeous today.”I blushed and didn’t bother to reply.
WHAT THE?! SAMMIE! Think of a comeback statement that would hide your overwhelmed feeling! Don’t let him get any ideas!
SO GO! ANYTHING! But then, I didn’t come up with any.

My God, where did my tough nature went off to?
“Sam… That’s a park over there, am I right…? Or…. am I wrong and that I’m really going blind already?”I giggled feebly,
“Sure is a park.”“Then let’s go!” He said, grabbing my hand, causing me to stand up.
He didn’t even let me breathe for a while… He’s just too
hyper. Maybe he has ADHD, no?

I let myself be dragged away, and within minutes, I found myself standing near a shady area surrounded by a lot of benches—
yes, sometimes my consciousness takes a little break or something, or maybe I just think too much.
I can see that lots of people were still around the park even though the sun is already setting down. Luke suddenly dropped the bags and sat lazily on the grass.
“Hey, come and sit down.” He motioned over at me.
I looked down at the expensive dress he just bought.
“But the dress—”“If it gets dirty, then I’ll just have to buy another one again for you.”“No thank you!” I retorted, and he just laughed good-heartedly. I slowly sat down beside him and looked up at the orange-tinted skies,
“Seriously Luke, where’d you get that much money?!”“Huh? My savings of course. I do a little tactic for myself.”“Are you on the black side?” I asked, narrowing my eyes at him.
Luke stared at me, “
The dark side? What the hell are you saying—oh.” He suddenly flicked my forehead,
“Silly, I don’t do illegal stuff.”“Well, you shouldn’t have done all of that, those are your savings—”“Come on Sammie, just drop it.” He said firmly and that signaled me to shut up.
We spent a small amount of silence, neither of us uttering another word. The silence really did bring an awkward bit of moment, and I fidgeted a little. Suddenly, I felt his head plop down lightly on my thighs—I looked at him alarmingly but his eyes were closed.
“H-hey!”“God, I’m tired.” Luke opened up his right eye and gazed at me,
“I just want to lay down for a bit, is it okay?” “N—”“No again? Don’t be so stingy.”I am not!
I’m really generous, especially now that you have done this, and that,
and this and that, and—
ARF! ARF!—arf, arf…!
HUH?!
I looked up in surprise and true enough; I saw a cute little puppy standing not so far away from us. His leash was sticking out behind him and he was looking at us with curious eyes—he might have escaped from his owner.
I blinked.
*Loading frenzy mode... please wait...*
Waaaah! A cute puppy…
Too kyoooooot…. Can’t resist……
I WANT IT…! Rawr =3
(
I really love dogs, but since dad is allergic to it—then it can’t be helped. Dad once bought me a puppy stuff toy, saying sorry that because of him, we can’t have a dog around our house.)
“So kyooooot…!”“Huh? ME? Thank you!” Luke exclaimed, laughing boisterously.
I slapped his face gently,
“Silly, you know well that I’m referring to the puppy.”“Yeah yeah… I knew it...”“Airhead.”“Haha! Hmm… It’s… Err.. That’s a puppy alright, it sure looks weird when it’s blurry. Looks like… a big sewer rat…” He commented.
“Sucks to be you, four-eyed freak.”“Sarcastic woman.”“Bleh!”“Violent sadistic woman.”“Stop now, pervert, and move it. I’ll get the puppy—”“Now there you are!”My jaw dropped—
it was RJ!
I gazed at him wonderingly as I saw him—he was smiling all so
naturally and it surprised me in levels that are far imaginable.
This is the first time I ever saw a big devil smile.

He scooped up the little mutt in his arms in one quick scary-looking swipe.
I wouldn’t hesitate in thinking that he might have just crushed that puppy with the use of his arms. It’s not in his image to hold such beings that are too cute. He would look better with a pet alligator.
“Is that… RJ?” Luke asked, lifting his head up and shifting to a sitting position.
“How’d you know?”“I can make out his full arm tattoos, and his voice. It’s not every day that you see someone like him around Bluecave.” He responded,
“RJ! Hey!”RJ looked up and glanced at Luke; he was still grinning when he did that—but when his eyes swept over to me, his smile disappeared.
Scary. Utterly scary.“Hey dude.” He said, walking up to us.
I just looked at him in wonder—and a tiny tinge of caution.
Luke rose up to a sitting position,
“What are you doing here in this part of town?”“Just went and fetched my neighbor’s pet from the vet, I haven’t have anything better to do at home right now,” he replied, extending his fist.
Uh-oh. I looked in alarm. Is he going to punch Luke?!
Oh boy!
I watched in alarm…!
But they just knocked fists.
*sigh*
Ooooh. I see, I see…
So…
Are they close?Err, maybe men just really are like this.
“And what are you guys doing here?” he asked, eyeing both of us.
“Dating?”“Yeah.” Luke glanced at me, and when he saw the murderous look I had, he snickered,
“Actually, no, but soon,” he jested.
Snickering softly, RJ bowed his head a little to me, and then patted Luke’s back,
“Whatever. I’m off. Take care.”Whatever, I muttered to myself. RJ uses such a girly word for an expression.
“You too, mate. Keep safe.” Luke said, saluting RJ.
I gaped at RJ as I watched him walk off. Once that he was gone, Luke slapped the back of my head,
“OW!”“Why are you spacing out like that? You didn't even talked to him.”“He’s terrifying.” I muttered.
Luke laughed,
“He’s actually nice. You aren’t just used to such guys like him.”“Sure do. Are you guys… close to each other? Or.. Do you two know each other from before?”“In case you don’t know, I just met with him a while ago Sammie, but then again, maybe we just seem to be close, maybe we aren’t.” Luke took one last fleeting glance at me and lain down on the grass this time,
“Nah I’m just kidding. Seriously, we’re not close, but it’s rude not to say hello.”Men are such mystical beings. If that was I and some other girl that I just met, we would barely exchange words—we might just nod our heads to each other, or exchange mild grins.
“Hmm… Sammie?”“Hmmm?”
“Do you remember when we first met?”When we first met…? My senses seemed to tingle a bit…
“…that…?” I mused... and then....
*FLASHBACK*
I was playing alone in the front lawn of our house. Somehow, I felt and looked really somber as I started arranging the small plastic blocks… trying to form some sort of small building… or a small town…with lots of people, of course.
All of a sudden, I heard footsteps drawing near. When I looked up, I saw my brother followed by another boy who looked like my age. I squinted my eyes at them, trying to stop the tears that were about to form in my eyes.
“See… you really shouldn’t have left her alone… playing by herself.” The boy mumbled.
“I thought she wanted to be left alone,” Matt whispered back, “But now I see what you’re saying.”
“M-Matt?” I stammered; in the verge of tears.
Matt knelt before me and started ruffling my hair, “I’m sorry Sammie. I won’t leave you again. Would you let us play with you?”
“Of c-course!” I nodded my head happily. “But who is that boy, brother?”
“Oh, him? He’s Luke Richens. He lives in that house,” he stated, pointing at the house on the left of ours, “He’s our neighbor.”
Luke stepped up and flashed a grin, “Nice to meet you, Samantha.”
I looked at him quizzically, and figured out that he and my brother seemed pretty close. Infuriated, I quickly clutched on my toy bucket, rose up from my feet and thwacked Luke’s head with it.
Matt gasped, “Sammie!”
Blushing, I just stared at Luke as he clutched at his swollen forehead. “Don’t steal my brother away from me! Ever again!”
*END OF FLASHBACK*
“…you…” I stifled back a giggle,
“You deserved that blow! BWAHAHAHAA!” >

Luke appeared to be amused of what I said,
“You remembered?”
“Y-yeah… Haha!”He chuckled,
“You seem to start recalling a lot of things recently…”“I guess…” I mumbled, suddenly noticing that fact,
“it really seems like it, huh?”I noticed the wistful look on his face,
“Well aren’t you looking glad!”Luke slowly tilted his head,
“Somehow.” And once again, he flashed that immaculate smile of his; I only managed to grin back thoughtfully in return.
“Hey.”Hmmm?”“Can I hug you?”“N-no!”“Aw… come on!”“N-NO I SAID!”He took me by surprise when he pulled me towards him.

Somehow, I can’t precisely object anymore. I found myself reveling in the feel of his strong arms around my waist, his hard chest against my cheek… and his smell, his perfume was incredibly nice…
Why do men have such alluring perfumes? In his arms and at that moment, I felt that sudden safety and peacefulness.
Eventually, I felt his hands stroking my hair and that’s when I started to panic—I felt uncomfortable,
“O-okay. You c-can let me g-go now!”“Just a little more…” he mumbled, his voice sounded strangely gentle.
"You feel nice..and warm..."And once again, I melted more into his embrace, ignoring the obvious embarrassment in my system. Something’s really changing within me.
***Samantha's POV***Later on, by the end of the day, Luke accompanied me to my house—like always. Just before I was about to open the gates, he flicked my forehead and smiled.
“Now what is your proble—?”He interfered,
“Read your script okay?”“Of course I would!”“Tonight?”“Yes! Why?” I asked in puzzlement,
“Why are you asking me this? Or why are you sort of commanding me? I know what I’ll have to do, ogre.”“Just read it.” And with one last mysterious and smug smile, he walked off looking extremely delighted.
Something was definitely suspicious.

In a fury, I quickly went in the house and up my bedroom. Tossing my bag on the bed, I hastily searched for the script amidst the piles of scratch papers, notebooks, and…stuff in my bag. I pulled over my chair, sat on it, and read the story as fast as I could.
Halfway through, I saw a phrase that attested the delighted mood of Luke a while ago.
“…and under that moonlit sky, they kissed like never before; forgiveness granted with that distinct passion on both ends…”I was horrified.
WHAT THE CRAP is in my adviser’s head recently? We never had a kissing scene or a kissing event in our plays before. This is absurd! Miss Pretu is really making an effort to make this year’s drama into something… exuberant.
Putting that aside… there’s just no escaping the fact that I and Luke would probably just have to
DO IT.………
No wonder that bastard looked and acted too cheerful for the day. -___-
